I have a CSS question too, but didn't want to start a whole new topic. Post looks fine, until I edit it. The "Edited by" thing at the bottom is on the border of my post. It definitely doesnt look right. I will edit this post so you can see what I mean.

Edit: Don't say "Post right the first time" as a solution either.

Read "3. Mystical belief in the power of Web Standards, Usability, and tableless CSS." at this address: http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/biggest-web-design-mistakes-in-2004.html

If you didn't, it makes the div go way beyond the lower edge of the table cell when the text is large, instead of expanding the table with it like normal.

I know there is a solution to this, I just can't remember wtf it was.

Height element actually rarely works right if it is not specified in pixels. I suggest to set the parent element bg to the color you want.

Tables are likely your best bet actually. At least with them you know they'll work.

Oh... BTW, "height: 100%" screws with your spoiler tags

This is coming from personal experience

Not using DIVs.
Using tables to make layouts is for hobos. Are YOU a hobo Xk?

And I am using a master DIV for the side image/background, and a sub DIV for the body text and quote.php image. Just doesn't work right, and not gonna lame it up with tables.

For me it works fine. Either try using both height=100% and width=100%, or use two divs, one for the background and one for the text.
