yeah, don't run an emulator in an emulator. I tried zsnes in dosbox and OMG it sucked. and yeah, it's vmware server that's free http://www.vmware.com/ maybe describe your problem with running snes9x oor whatever natively and I or someone here can help. |

Bochs is a (true) PC emulator... now unless you're running it on a mainframe, it will be much slower than a real PC. Snes9X is portable to non-x86 platforms, so there's no need to even be running it. |

Are you running on a non- x86 machine (e.g. a pre-intel Mac)? If you aren't, and you really feel that you need to run an emulator on top of an emulator, I'd imagine it'd be faster and less buggy to use a virtual machine. I think VMWare Player and Microsoft Virtual PC are both free now.
...and weren't you, not 24 hours ago, trying to figure out how to improve the performance of your emulators? Running them on top of another emulator or on a virtual machine would be a little on the counterproductive side... |

Try a different emulator, like ZSNES. Read the readmes that came with Bochs. If all else fails, give up and run it on your regular computer, if that's possible. |

Why do you use Bochs? Can't you run Snes9x directly on your computer? Bochs is buggy as hell. |
