yeah i bought Super DBZ yesterday. Its fun, but i still think the budokai games are better, but unlike budokai it actually plays like most "classic" fighting games. |

Eh, i'd like to make another mention of Super DBZ/Chou DBZ now that it has been released in the US. It's a quality game. |

Nope, the "what if" fusions were in Budokai 2 only (Gokule, and Tiencha i think) and the "what if" Buu absorption's. |

In 3, can't you fuse Goku with Hercule? |

yep that settles it 3 it is thanks guys |

You can transform into the highest possible level level straight away (i.e. if u have 6 energy bars out of 7 charged u'd transform into SSj3, but if u had 5 u'd transform into SSj 2 instead). So basically it all depends on how much energy. |
m3gaman Posts: 35/44 |
How does going ssj 3 work? do u just transform twice? or can it not be done? orrrrrr do u just go straight to it? |
Kai Posts: 4/23 |
yeah budokai 3 involves in-game transformations and in-game fusions, whilst in Tenkaichi transformed characters are treated as seperate characters including their fusions
So in other words Gotenks and his transformations are each seperate playable characters in Tenkaichi, whilst in Budokai 3 you had to equip "fusion" to either gotenks/trunks and perform it mid-battle. |

Hmm yeah ill probably get no. 3 and then get tenkanichi 2 when it comes out, in boduki 3 u transform mid battle right? |
Kai Posts: 3/23 |
Personally i preferred Budokai 3 as well, although tenkaichi was fun and had a HUGE amount of characters, i think it was kind of lacking something. Budokai 3 kept me interested for longer, while Tenkaichi seemed more repetitive and didnt seem QUITE seem as fun as no. 3 did.
I bought both though, and i'll be buying Tenkaichi 2 when it comes out... |

For the PS2...though...
...aw geez...I only have 99, 00-01 for the PSX/PS2...I didn't know they made 02-03 or else I would've bought it by now. Guess I better find it soon...course I've already played the MAMEd version of it as is. Oh...and to keep this on the topic: 'dbz' |

No shit?
I'm saying when did KOF 2002 and 2003 come out on the PS2? Why was I not informed? |
Alastor Posts: 6397/8204 |
Budokai 3 and Budokai Tenkaichi are for the PS2, and Phil is saying there's way, way better fighters than those. |

Hahah yeah, im not after a good fighter just a goodish dragonball z fighter Hmm so budokai 3 aye, seems the way to go. |

I'd probably go for Budokai 3 more, just for the sheer fact that I'm used to the '2D' like feel of it. Felt a lot more fun than Tenkaichi too.
Additionally, Super Butoden 2/3 and Hyper Dimension are good bets for fun online. |
