I'm usually at home anymore to see it.
Sure makes me remember when I was 5. Secret word was a reason to get my folks up at a little past 7 AM. And god that made me remember Meka-leka-hi. I can't believe I forgot about that. The only other reminder was SBemail. |

Pee-wee's playhouse was awesome for the pure WTF factor of most of it. Too bad i can never see it because i'm working when it airs usually. |

I don't remember watching it much as a child, but I seem to remember every single episode that has aired on Adult Swim.
I must have watched it more than I thought, heh heh.... It's a neat show, it packs alot into a half of an hour. It's just eccentric enough to be cool for adults and fun wacky enough for children to enjoy. I wish there were more episodes... Wish? Did somebody say 'wish'? Meka leka hi, meka hiney ho! Say it with me! |

Pee-Wee's Playhouse is a lot of things but it is most certainly not catered specifically to children.
The DVD's came out roughly a year ago but no one really cared. I'm glad Adult Swim is putting it in syndication once again. Now that young teenagers are viewing Pee-Wee, an 80's icon of mythic proportions, perhaps they will better understand why 20 something's are the way we are. I mean who didn't love Tim Burton's initial film Pee-Wee's Big Adventure? |

wow, i'm dumbfounded by your disrespect for pee-wee. that show was great when i was a kid, and having seen it again, i think it's got tremendous appeal now as well. the innuendo is pretty thick, and (particularly when you're stoned) the entire show is extraordinarily crazy and engaging.
as for him being creepy, uhh...why? there's no evidence of the child pornography thing; it was just some investigators looking to crucify someone, and obviously a collector of erotic artwork is a pretty easy target. "misdemeanor obscenity"? honestly, if the local laws were socially backwards enough and somebody wanted to, they could pin that on just about anyone for looking at porn or owning dirty magazines. paul reubens is your standard liberal hollywood actor type. okay, bob saget: america's funniest home videos and full house, right? has anyone seen his stage show? come on. i'm ashamed of you all for being so square. maybe cartoon network is trying to attract a different crowd than just geeky cartoon lovers? |

It's rated PG-TV because it was originally a kids show. It is an entertaining show, but after watching each episode at least 5 times each(I've seen some episodes near 20 times now) it really isn't that great anymore. I might watch it again just because I haven't seen it for a few years. That is if I ever go over to the TV. |

I exactly don't know why this is even on, but I was watching it when waiting for Family Guy and in the corner I see
PG TV So I begin to wonder about why it is, but the show is actually entertaining which may be surprising. |

I have to agree, even though the show has innuendo, it does seem strange than Pee-Wee's Playhouse was put on Adult Swim. Otherwise, the show is great, but Paul Reubens is weird, I always wondered, how much does he get paid to act stupid? |

I still say Tom goes to the Mayor isnt a cartoon either. Its just crappy blue/white still frames. Its some sort of crappy inbetween thing that shouldnt exist. |

I like Paul Reubens as an actor and think his personal life has been blown way out of proportion to what actually happened. But i dont see how Pee-wee's playhouse belongs on adult swim. |

That whole deal Besides that, he's a bit of a spaz throughout the show. |

This was a very, odd thing for Adult Swim to have. Unless someone did some editing that I don't know about to the show to make it more for adults, then I don't think it should be there.
I agree on the fact Pee Wee is a very creepy guy. |

Here is the thing. Yes, there is in-ya-window. When we were kids, we didn't notice any of it. Now we all get a chance to see what we missed when we were to naive to notice.
Besides, I would rather watch Pee-Wee than the crap known as Tom Goes to the Mayor or Minoriteam. Those shows suck. |
