Okay, this thread is just screaming Pyris' name. As you can tell from his username, he is a pyro, and so am I, so now that I've seen this, I plan on telling him, getting the materials, getting his napalm, getting my video camera, and torching the shit out of stuff. If I don't post it soon, reminding me might help, because I have a lot on my mind.

Most things you'd have laying around the house would eat plastic pretty quickly, probably causing the hose from the tank to the nozzle to clog before you'd have to worry about holes in the tank. I use solvents to bond plastic all the time so I have some experience in that. Rubbing alcohol will definately eat your supersoaker, and I'd imagine that gasoline would to. All plastics are not created equally. Plastic gas cans are another material altogether from the styrene and acryllics that most toys are made of.

Do you not have any friends who are old enough to drive that could smuggle you some diesel?

*edit* of course if you don't mind it not working for very long, alcohol might be a viable fuel for this purpose. If the flame manages to travel up into the gun it should blow itself out before exploding the gun.

Dude. Please don't burn yourself... or someone's house.
Do this near a swimming pool and jump in if you have to.

Ordinary gasoline = bad
-It's not JUST the liquid that burns, it's the fumes that you don't see that'll go BOOM!

Tar = bad
-It's too sticky to go through and will melt the gun.

Alcohol = maybe
-It burns clean but can burn big.

My parents will wonder what I need diesel for, so that's not an option actually. I need something that's commonly found in houses. Do you have anything besides diesel that I could use?

I'd go diesel, personally, since you don't know how to homebrew your own stable burnables. I won't be responsible for providing you with that information, sorry

I don't know how to make napalm. I hear that you can make bombs using Duck Sauce nowadays, so I may try that. The only problem is, I don't have any Duck Sauce. What are some everyday household items that are flammable but not dangerous? Will Windex or 409 work?

Especially since gasoline likes to eat plastic.

Don't use gasoline. Use something like diesel or your own proprietary blend of napalm that will burn but not explode. If you use gas... well it's your funeral.

If you really do end up doing it... you had BETTER tape it all and show us.

But yeah... something bad is gonna happen...

Maybe. I just need to borrow a digital camcorder from a friend or somehow sneak ours so I can record this. I have my own, but it's analog and there is no way I can get anything on it to my computer. I'll also need some sort of flammable liquid, such as Lysol or gasoline. Then I'll be all good. I know an open field with a lot of plants on private property where I can do this, so finding someplace won't be a hassle. Just getting the camera will be.

The part they don't show you in the video is when the car gets a spark from the flames and explodes, killing everyone instantly

I'm amazed the fire didn't make its way up the firing shaft into the storage chamber, where it really would've exploded. Talk about hefty medical and house repair bills.

Wow...and I HAVE a Super Soaker right now.

....

How much do you guys think my parents would kill me if they found out I tried what the video said not to try at home?

My FRIEND would want one of those.

Only because of the fire and the hilarity.

Super Flame Thrower

I was bored so I decided to check on any updates on that site, and I found that. I thought that was awesome so I decided to share it with all of you. It says don't try at home, but that's not going to stop me. However, my parents will. One day I'm gonna get out my old Super Soaker, which ironically is the exact same kind they used in the video, and I'm going to try that. I'll probably be living on my own by then, but at least I'll get to do that. Now our kids can turn fun toys into dangerous weapons!

Note: I would've said harmless, but Super Soakers can be dangerous, especially when shot in the eye. That's painful.
