I wouldn't ever expect to see Quest for Calatia actually cancelled, and it will eventually be released, but it may be after all the other hacks in the works have either been released or been cancelled themselves. What I get from GameMakr24 is that he's extremely intent on completing his hack, to the point where he's not about to just cancel it. He really just doesn't have enough free time to work quickly, especially when he's primarily working alone.

I talk to the Quest for Calatia programmer fairly regularly. He seems to be doing all right.

Does anyone know what happened to the "Quest for Calatia" website?

The host (cymoro.com) is down. No one knows when it'll be back up.

I look at the updates in the journal from time to time, and the site seems to have disappeared. I'm not sure if the project was iced, shut down, or if the site is under construction or unpaid. This hack looks great, and I'd hate to see it disappear.

The hack had interesting ideas, though I don't know what happened to it. Last time I looked there, the project didn't look very active though.

Quest for Calatia is still very much active. The last I'd heard of it, (a couple of weeks ago), the guy doing it had finished the town (which caused him a whole load of problems, but he finished it anyway), and now he's working on the forest of Calatia with the new style pine trees he has inserted into the rom.

The hack is still coming along very nicely...just incredibly, incredibly slowly. But think of it this way - all that time and effort will not have gone to waste!

Hey, I didn't want to start a new thread for this, here seems appropriate. Does anyone know what happened to the "Quest for Calatia" website? I look at the updates in the journal from time to time, and the site seems to have disappeared. I'm not sure if the project was iced, shut down, or if the site is under construction or unpaid. Someone should hack ocarina of time to be like A link to the past and then we would have a 3-d version...

I think that was just an early demo.

i have the "tower of the triforce" hack and I can't figure out what to do in the beginning for the life of me.

it keeps saying to find a way into the dungeon under some building, but i've looked everywhere and can't find an entrance. has anyone figured this out?

I too am psyched about these Zelda hacks. It will be so awesome to play one of my favorite games with brand new graphics, a new plot, and fresh ASM coding.

Hm. I havent heard about Ochimariou's hack for a while...it sure looks awesome though. All of them do, to be honest.

What would be nice is a bit of a progress update from each of the people working on a Z3 hack right now - simply because they're probably the hacks that i've been anticipating more than any other, and I'm sure other people agree with me!

He's looking for an old thread, it's a legitimate question. Let's not be so quick to reiterate the rules. Being helpful isn't entirely off limits, either. =P

It took some digging, and tragically the images are all down, since they were hosted on photobucket, but it was thread #4557 - http://board.acmlm.org/archive/thread.php?id=4557

Also, thread #3082 on the current board has some of the ones currently in progress, with the images still up. http://board.acmlm.org/thread.php?id=3082

Edit: typos bother me.

Threads asking where hacks for certain games can be found are against the rules now. Just so you know; be careful next time.

The past boards weren't deleted. The links at the homepage just weren't provided before, so they still do exist. I'm about 60% sure that Wikipedia has links to the old boards. If so, you can reconduct your search there.

Hi,
I've been visiting this forum for a few years and for the life of me I can't find the post (i think it used to be stickied) that had all the available and in-progress zelda: link to the past hacks in it.

I'm dying to play some new zelda 3 levels. I've searched the hell out of this site and i cant find it anymore. I think the board was reset and all posts deleted, so can we rebuild the list of hacks here?
