I am tempted to look at the spoilers. But I won't. Since I actually want to see this movie.

I'm not a big fan of movies. However, I do want to see this since I did like the first. So, hopefully I can get a job real soon and go see it...

I don't know...
Spoiler:
Unless that island has some magical powers or something that Jack now has, and now the dog has... I don't see where they could go with it. The dog isn't an important character, he doesn't even have the keys in his mouth anymore!

Well, remember what happens to thier gods...
Maybe he'll do a better job of outsmarting them than Jack did.

Yeah, at the end of one the monkey got cursed again. It actually played a part in 2.

I saw the end, it was amusing. And Kario, I didn't notice that. But I do remember from the first Pirates, that after the credits they show the monkey going and stealing some of the aztec gold. So that's why he's still cursed. I was wondering that throughout the movie.

Oh. Okay. Cool. Because I thought that was a plothole and it kept nagging at me.

I saw the movie today, and it was awesome. However, I didn't notice the thing that Kario said. Also, did anyone stay to the very end of the credits? You know, the part...
Spoiler:
...where the dog becomes praised?

I found that amusing, but a guy working there kept saying what it was, yet I hadn't realized he was talking about the ending. I thought he was just talking about something else, but he wasn't. People who work at movie theaters tick me off sometimes by spoiling parts of the movie.

Just watched it again. I noticed something this time around.
Spoiler:
When Jack brings "her" the monkey and ask for help, she lets the monkey loose. If you saw the first one, you know the monkey is Barbosas monkey. Well, the first thing the monkey does is run in and grab on to someones (Barbosas) boot. He is laying there on the bed. Shortly after, when "she" goes in that room, she says something to Barbosa, but its too quiet for me to make out. She may just be mumbling.

Just thought I would point that out for those who didnt notice.

I saw this last night.

Hoooooooooly crap.

Spoiler:
BARBOSA WTF?

I absolutely loved it, it was everything I hoped it would be and more. The ending kind of put me on edge, leaving it so... open like that, so many questions left unanswered... but I still loved it. I thought it was better than the first, there was more comedy and more going on. I loved how Elizabeth was more in the action this time around, instead of just being the love interest. And man... she looked good in her little sailor outfit. I've gotta say it.

My favorite scene...
Spoiler:
was the one on the island, starting with the pirates swinging their little sphere jail to the wall all the way until the part with Jack running to the ship with the whole tribe behind him. I was cracking up.

I just got home from seeing it. I thought it was great, especially for a Disney sequel. It was the first time a movie had a cliffhanger that actually made me wish the next movie was already out.

And yes, Keira is smokin hot.

And how much time elapsed between the two movies? I wish I could become a badass within a few months like Elizabeth did =P

But I still enjoyed the movie quite a bit.

Yeah.
Spoiler:
I thought it was funny when those two theives pulled out their swords on her when she was attempting to get the chest, and she acted like she was scared to death. Then Davey Jones's crew came and she took their two swords, and started killing undead like a professional killer. A little odd?

Well, to be frank, the movie series features cursed ships, undead pirates trying to fufill a blood oath, 5000 ton aquatic montrosities not to mention sea fauna fusing with...well ghosts to form Davy Jones' crew....so I let the whole water wheel thing slide in terms of being "realisitic"/completely fantastical

I'm gonna put the mill fight into a different category of ridiculousness, though.

Spoiler:
First, I felt like they couldn't decide wether they wanted it to be comical or serious. One moment we have Jack running into a pole and being knocked out and everyone is laughing, the next moment there is a serious scene that shows the three of them fighting each other while hanging onto the wheel.

I just felt like, while the ghosts and stuff are part of the story and shown in a cool light, the mill wheel thing was just cheesy.

But, let's not split hairs here people. Kiera Knightly is smokin hot. So hot infact, that there's no ' at the end of smokin when describing her.

I didn't mind the mill fight or anything, but I did kind of approach this movie with more of a comedic view, so yeah.

But yeah, I can see what you mean about the story. It just felt like, there just wasn't a whole lot to it or something.

I felt strongly about the ending, but unlike Toxic, I pretty much hated it.

Though I'm not going to mention any strong spoilers, my explanation will assume you've seen the movie. You won't understand what I'm talking about if you don't.

I understand that it leaves some loose ends for the already-being-filmed Pirates 3, but it left too many and too often large ones. Even if the movie is meant to have a sequel, you still need some sort of resolution in the end. I felt they could have made it feel more like a complete movie than they did.

Also, Jack Davenport's role is almost pointless, if I recall. Why not cut him out of the movie to cut down on the whopping 2 hour 30 minute run time?

And also, the fight with the mill wheel? Please.

Good overall, though, but could have been a lot better.

(edit: "my explanation will explain you've seen the movie." Yeah, I'm tired.)

I'm not sure what the phenomenon is about this series ... but its there.

I saw it at the 12:01 showing here at AMC 30. They had 7 or so theaters showing it at that time, several of them were already sold out when my friends and I got there a little after 10:00 PM.

I wasn't totally hyped and anticipated about this coming out or anything, but I just figured why not? I had nothing better to do, could sleep in the next day, so I just went ahead and saw it.

I thought it was pretty enjoyable, but I honestly would have to say I enjoyed Superman Returns a lot more (in terms of good summer movies this year). And its been too long since I've seen the first one to compare them. But yeah, good movie, just nothing incredible in my opinion.

Loved it. Loved it loved it loved it save for the ending. I was ready for that third movie right then and there. I didn't even know it was drawing to a close to be frank, that's how wrapped up in it I was.

But hear this. Kiera Knightly is SMOKING hot.

They're much harder to get here. My friends and I looked into going last night, but it was sold out. That was when we looked on Wednesday. So I assume today will be just as busy, since it's the debut day.
