Ah, 2chan-style "AA".
I'll never understand why they call it "Ascii Art"... when nine out of ten times it's S-JIS or Unicode. Got a file full of 'em too. |

How about this for an example? You even posted it. |

Fixed width ASCII is for chumps. Real people make and use variable width ASCII. Which takes a lot more time to make, typically involving "tracing" things, special characters, knowledge of widths of characters and more. All in all, it takes a lot more work, but the end result is so much more worth it. I'd post an example here, but there's something wrong with the posting code right now, which turns all special characters to question marks. (it still works for me on other sites, strangely) |

I tried some of those. Pretty interesting. I was wondering where people got all those images...
The first one I ever saw was one of the Oracle of Seasons tree. |

That's to draw the big letters. |

Make pictures of the letters and use those pictures. |

Is there also a way to turn normal letters to those big letters like on some FAQs on GameFAQs? |

Uh.... you're welcome.
You're lucky I worked out what you meant though, because your first post was a little vague. Oh well, it was a good guess on my part then. |

Yes it is! Thank you very much. |

You mean it converts to ASCII?
There is a free thing on the internet that does that. This might be it. |

I've heard about a program that can scan pictures and turn them into a version made up of symbols, such as #, *, ^ etc. What is it called? |
