This talk about the file being too big reminded me of a program I created to cheat the attachment size restriction. The concept wasn't new. Programs for slicing files have been around for a long time. Back then they were useful for moving files that were larger than a floppy could hold. My slicer was particularly suited to this board, because the slices would be output as a set if IPS patches. When all of the IPS patches would be applied to an empty file, the result would be the original too big file.
I never released it or used to upload a file. I don't remember finishing it. I think it still had some hardcoded information that needed to be turned into run time parameters. |
