Tarale, judging by your self-portraits, you have the hairstyle that I absolutely love. Be proud of it, it's cute!

That's the sad thing about hair.
At any moment, you can make it as short as humanly possible.
It takes years to get it oh so long.
That's why I don't want to cut it. I haven't seen my hair past two inches in two weeks past forever.

My hair is short, curly, scruffy and wild.

It used to be long, curly and wild, but then I got it cut. Now I'm trying to grow it again. It's taking a while. I'm starting to get frustrated with it, but it costs $900 to get hair extensions.

I normally wear mine in a ponytail, which keeps it off my neck, so it doesn't get hot. On a more general note, many people are surprised that my hair is so low-maintenance. I wash it in the shower every four days, which doesn't take more than 20 minutes. (Of course, I shower more often than that, and if I'm not washing my hair, I just put it in a redoubled ponytail to get it out of the way.) I can go that long between washes because I've trained my scalp to produce less oil by using gentle shampoo. When you strip too much natural oil from your skin, it tends to overcompensate by making more. I don't use very much shampoo (maybe a quarter-sized dollop on my scalp), but I go through conditioner by the boatload.

My hair is quite damage-resistant, so I just trim split ends every once in a while, and that works. If I want to even out the hemline, I can do it myself.

The most annoying thing it does is get stuck in my pants waistband when I sit down, but some more length will solve that problem.

I shave it every day. No sandpaper feel for me.

I shave my head three times a week, so I can keep my head smooth.

Short. In addition to having some trouble combing hair (due to really bad depth perception), my hair's naturally oily, so it's a lot easier to clean it when it's shorter. Then again, even if I didn't have those concerns, I'd probably still prefer it shorter.

On women, I prefer hair that's no longer than shoulder-length, and straight. Never been a fan of curly hair...

I currently have short curly hair, about 3/4" long.

I've always wanted to have long hair, but since it's so unruly, I'd probably end up looking like Napoleon Dynamite. No thanks.

It looks fine to me...and I have that same shirt, too. More than one, actually.

Eh, I don't really care about hairstyles. I'm just glad I have hair, even if it is short.

I like short hair the most. I thought about getting hardrock hair but I don´t think I´d fit in it.

I don´t like my hair TOO short, though. I like it like I have it now.

My hair is at least 36" long measured from hairline over to ends. (I haven't measured it in a couple of months, so I'm not sure of its current exact length.) If I just washed it, I wear it down. If it's a non-wash day, I put it in a ponytail and spray it with a bunch of water, which helps moisturize it and brings out the waves. Lately, I've been braiding it when I go to the gym because it's beginning to be long enough to get unwieldy. I can make a bun with a pair of wooden hair sticks, but that's a pain because my hair is quite thick, so when I twist it, it doesn't tend to lie down neatly against my head. I really need to get back to practicing stick fu. I always wanted butt-length hair, which is about 45" on me, so I'm growing my hair until that point, and then I'll keep it at that length or cut it back if it really gets irritating.

If I didn't like the way my hair looked long, or if it were difficult to take care of, I would have some rather androgynous (or even manly) short style - even a bald head or all-over buzz that I could maintain myself. I actually consider my current 'do to be androgynous (because it's the sort of style that longhaired men tend to have - all one length, parted down the middle). I can be girly sometimes, but I generally like androgynous or masculine style. I have no idea why. I just do.

My favorite hairstyle on my husband is a buzzed fade. Very short on the back and sides, 1/2" to 1" on top. He has a round head and fine, straight hair, so it's the most flattering style for him. On people in general, I just like to see styles that look good on them.

My hair was always very long, because it used to be straight and pretty like that. But over the years, my hair became wavy, then even more wavy, and now it's almost curly. So... I can't maintain it anymore without spending hours on it every morning. So I recently chopped it off, now it's just past my shoulders, and I'm really loving it. It's easy to deal with, only takes a few minutes to blowdry and straighten, and is much cooler on my neck and back in the summer heat. Whee.

My favorite hair style on women is the very short, straight look. But since my hair is so damn rebellious when I try and do something with it, I'm not about to have that look for myself.

As for guys, short hair for the win. Not buzz, but... not like hippie hair.

Just put on the no. 2 guide, and away I go! Cutting your own hair isn't hard, it's cheap, and fast.

I just like having short hair. I don't like to have to "fix" my hair.

My hair? none.

I like all kinds of looks on girls, but I'm weak for curly haired girls. The style isn't important if it's curly.

My hair: Imagine hippie hair, then cut it down to about 1.5-2 inches. Yes, that does a make a difference.

My ideal hair: Something like Snoop!

My ideal hair for the opposite sex: long (12 inches+, straight, and dyed green).
