Editing what graphics overworld Layer 1 uses is perfectly possible, and there's plenty of level tiles he could've overwritten with the pipe graphics... And as for the appearing pipe, that's just a matter of setting a pipe down, setting it up properly, unchecking allow move/copy/paste/delete on Layer 1 Tile Settings, deleting the tile, and setting one down in the same place on the appropriate event with the layer 1 event editor... Simple tricks. Ones I use in my hack, but not for those purposes.

You may have not noticed one thing - Some of the Overworld tile does NOT act like what it used to be. For example, There's a pipe tile that acts like a level (drainpipe level), and a pipe tile that can appear on specific event. How can he do this?

You must have the down button and the dash button pressed at the same time to destroy the sand.

I was also annoyed because of those blocks.

I can't seem to pass 2-2 in this hack mainly because I don't know how to destroy the SMB2 sand. I tried fireballs and that didn't work and the info box near the SMB2 sand isn't helping much either since I don't understand what it is saying.

Has anyone else got past this part yet?

This is a really fun hack. One of the few which I didn't bother using Save States for, or giving up when I died due to boredom. I thought the GFX looked really great, and everything just fit together very nicely overall.

Please finish it!!

Overall, I liked it very much. Overworld looked nice, especially bowser's castle (which can't be reached in the demo). Level design was solid and pretty creative at times (Castle 3 comes to mind).

Only complaint I had was the stingy time limits, having to rush through the last 25% of levels isn't fun. An extra 100 time would be fine.

Nice work, although this probably won't be finished...

I gotta say, most of the graphics just don't fit in at all. What's with those horrible shades of brown in 1-1? The title screen looks pretty good, though. I might try it out later, but I know I'm probably in for more terribly repetitive level design.

Well, no, it's just... all these hacks seem to have interesting stories, and even if the text isn't changed at all, at least I'll know...

Plus, c'mon, you can't beat the levels as well if you don't know the name of the level you're beating... Am I the only one to think something even remotely like this, or am I selfish and should be shot for it?

It just looks like a fantastic hack, and if I can't read what the stuff says, I won't be able to enjoy it as much.

Ugh... I'd love to play this hack, I mean, seriously LOVE to, but I made an agreement with myself to not play hacks with Asian symbols and lettering, or any hack, for that matter, that's not in English. It just makes it more confusing and I can't follow the storyline.

Any way we can expect an English version coming out anytime soon? Pleeeease?

I second that. Why does KT do that?

I'm not a fan of his graphics style or his level design, but I'm a fan of his ASM skills. I mostly played this hack just to see his ASM hacks in action.

Spoiler:
-The Bullet Bill Shooters and other sprites can spawn other sprites.
-On certain levels, the status bar shows a no feather sign.
-In a level, Mario would walk automatically to the pipe. Just like in the original SMB. Also, you cannot hit Lakitu in that level.
-I was shocked to find in the World 3 Castle a 3-way Ball n' Chain.
-Vertical scrolling.
-Diagonal cannons.

Ehh, I agree with Kyouji on this one. I like the graphics, and his ASM skills are teh 1337, but KT has a tendency to make some incredibly long and incredibly hard levels, which lead me to either a) abuse savestates or b) make me pound my head on the keyboard in frustration.

Sigh. I don't like the graphics. Mario doesn't fit in such a bright, poorly-detailed world.

And if I know KT half as well as I think I do, If I download this hack, I'm in for pretty feh level design and impressive ASM hacks. It's certainly more tempting than what other people have done, but I don't have time.

AMAZING!!! Seriously this one of the best to come out in a while. I can't wait until he finishes it. I love the water, it's just so kewl looking and how in the "bonus" (coins) area, he added some kewl music. Man, this one just p'ownz all the other junk I've seen come out recently.

I got up to the 3rd castle, and went into the door that turns the room 90 degrees. But, I kept falling off the small blocks. Is everything turned 90 degrees, like the thwimps and thwomps?
