... I hit delete instead of edit by mistake. Oh well. I downloaded something called avi-mux from the Matroska site but haven't tested it yet.

Uh, Matroska is only a container format, the codecs usually used in them is Theora or XviD... if your computer can't handle either, then get something newer than 15 years old

But seriously, MPlayer can do it.

Where can I find I a program that will allow me to convert MKVs into AVIs with my choice of audio and sub-title tracks? Every now and then I get an MKV that needs so much processing power to decode the video can't render even at point thirdteen speed..
