I haven't had a lot of time in which I've felt creative to hammer out my design yet. When I hammer out most of the details maybe I'll get some input and help from the modern art forum. |

Yeah, right
So, did you ever pick one and have you made plans to get it yet? |

Well, I was thinking about getting a tattoo saying "bAbY gRRRRRRL" right above my ass crack. |

Well, I tend to be a bit funny about them. With me, I guess they have to be fairly low-key.
I don't mind stuff that's small and appropriately placed, but generally I'm not big on them. I prefer something that's symbolic rather than a great big mural too. |

No real meaning behind the ravens thing, I just think it would look really cool.
The codex though would mean a lot to me, especially if I can refine my knotwork of it into something I'm really satisfied with (to show off my celtic heritage.) I'm not an overly religious person, but I think the virtues and principles represented by the codex are ways of living that everyone should strive for, regardless of religious beliefs. Who cares if it was made up within the last half a century? For those not in the know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codex_of_Ultimate_Wisdom. Thanks for all the input so far =) |

Love the koi,it's adorable. Danielle hit it on the head though, it seems to be about what the tattoo is and perhaps even where it's placed. You seem to have made really good choices on that so far, so I'd say go right ahead.
The raven idea is definitely interesting. Any particular inspiration or meaning behind it? I like the idea of the codex of ultimate wisdom though. Nerd branding is a good thing, though I speak from a group of girls who are few and who happen to find geeks and nerds the sexiest thing in the entire world. Go for either, they both sound like great ideas. |

I think it's more what the tattoo is... not how many you have.
If your tattoo is some obscene artwork or words, then... that's pretty unattractive. I think the ones that you have are nice, and as long as you stick to ones like that, it's fine. But that's just my opinion. |

Originally posted by Kasdarack Interesting choice; You are branding yourself a nerd, but such a nerd that most non-nerds wouldn't even recognize it, as opposed to Mario or Zelda or Star Wars tattoos. Good choice in games, by the way. I'm not a woman (and straight), so I can't help you too much. The only thing I can say is don't go overboard, or they will all look like ovals once you're 40. |

Ok... I find myself wanting another tat. But I don't want to be that guy who has all those tattoos and is therefore kinda gross/skanky.
How many tats is too many? How big is too big? What sort of tattoo subject material is meh? I have two tats. An orange and red Coi on my right calf http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a118/kasdarack/Tattoos/newtat.jpg and an ankh on the right side of my lower abdomen about an inch or an inch and a half lower than the belly button. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a118/kasdarack/Tattoos/Picture18.jpg Both of those pics are old and neither were fully healed when snapped. The red in the ankh tat is just bruising because it was fresh. It's actually lightly gold tinted in those areas. I'm thinking my next tat will either be of three ravens in a circle grasping eachother's legs on the back of my left shoulder or of my own redesign of the codex of ultimate wisdom (wiki it) into knotwork on my left calf. Should I not do that? I don't want to limit my future dating options by having too many tattoos. Your opinions appreciated. |
