3.14159265358979323846: I attempted to make a vertical scrolling level, and that happened too. What I had to do to get it to work right is move the layer 1 objects up ~5 blocks, as well as the starting floor, and set Mario's y-coordinate to F on the next screen up. |

I don't think anyone's figured out how to scroll upwards yet (without the screen glitching, anyway). |

I have tried to make a level with the lava rising. I put the whole building on Layer 2 and the lava on Layer 1, but when I test it, Mario does not appear in the right position. It seems that the game moves Mario ~12-coins lower than he should appear.
And another problem is that sometimes I test the level. the level does not appear, and Overworld beccomes mosaic, making me very annoyed. Would the people who know the answer kindly tell me how to do it. |

I'm not sure of the first one.
For vertical autoscrolling though, I did it by building a level on Layer 2, then using the Layer 2 Falls sprite. You could even put lava on Layer 1 and make a volcano type level if you want (looks like the volcano is erupting) Hopefully this helps |

Yeah, I was having this idea in my mind to make a DDR-ish level with all kinds of arrows (on Layer 2) coming up and preventing Mario from falling. Just like BMF's Rope system, only Vertical.
And another thing, is Vertical Auto Scrolling possible? As in just like normal Auto scrolling. Only vertical. Thanks in advance! |
