note that nothing above was drawn with the slightest mind for anything remotely technical at any point at all whatsoever.

I was trying something I never do. Attempting to draw for fun. I'm actually surprised that rei even looks like rei. with one leg bigger than the other, no hand, and a really big head. YAY fucked up

Yet another one with no mind to anything technical.

It's nice to just draw, and put color wherever you want and lines more or less wherever too sometimes. My obsession over constant improvement and constant technicalities is killing art for me.

Once upon a time I used to just draw something.

Now I spend three days resketching the same sketch over and over again, and 9 times out of 10 abandon it as a failure. If I don't, I ink it and then again there's a high rate of me abandoning it as a failure too. If something ever actually makes it to being coloured, I tend to hate it within 3 days due to its inperfections, and wish I'd never tried to begin with.

That's not what art's supposed to be! Therefore, you're getting random doodles with all kinds of technical problems But the colors in some are purty

I'm not happy on a never-ending quest for techincal perfection when all it's doing is killing a medium of self-expression for me (not to mention generating increasingly soulless and lifeless pieces of art.)

The first one's supposed to be a girl? I thought it was a very effeminate man

My other comments are basically the same as setz'.

the first is nice, except for one thing; you can see on the girl the light is coming from infront of her at an angle; only when you look at the background, it's coming from behind her. Also the only time I can recall ever seeing golds in the sky was around sunset; so I'd imagine the sun would have to be lower in the sky for that effect? Note that I could be wrong, I've just never seen something quite like that, and I look up at the sky quite abit.

second: the clouds themseves are cool, rei seems pasted on; so I wont crit much on her. The actual colors of the clouds seem to just be thrown around; at one point the yellows mesh with purple and directly above that mesh with a dark blue. It just doesn't look right.

Xkeeper told me off for calling this picture "reidoodle.jpg"

I still argue that the actual Rei part of the picture is a doodle.

I love it... except for the fact it looks like there is no arms.

Great work as always.

I thought I'd play about with colour. Lots of golds! I dunno, something slightly more cheerful than my last piece, not as "polished" either. Just wanted to roughly play with light, colour and sky.
