I will be a minor tester if you want...I can test it out...see if code can be cleaned and such...a typical tester...probably the best way to get it to me is to email it to me or try and get it to me when I am signed into messenger.

May I be a beta tester, Dude Man? I personally love Metroid for the NES, and I'd like to try your hack, if that's okay with you.

I do not wish for METGEN to require those sorts of tricks.
This game is built much around the style of the original metroid game in terms of design and setup. For example. You won't climb up to the top of a vertical shaft to be stopped by the floor of a horizontal room above it. And jumps won't be cheap. You can still use them. But any jump that seems out of reach was intended to require a certain item ie highjump boots, ice beam, etc.

cheap jumps? Nothin' like a n00b filter! Just gotta use the morph/bomb jump!

The missing item bug is caused by the password system not knowing where the items are. Without massive ASM knowledge I can't change it... however I keep it in mind.

All in all.. use savestates.

Keep up the good work peeps.

KP9000 won 9000 points
Dude Man won 10000 points
bloodzero won -9999999 points
I won a temp ban for this comment

now let's get back on-topic...

I found a big bug, if you die in brinstar, some of your powerups may go away (Energy tanks and Misiles). Also, all the powerups reappear again...

About the gameplay, the game is hard (It's almost imposible until you get the first energy tank XD) but in a good way.

Mmm Hmm. 14 years old.
Hey setz, random bans are fun!

im german got a problem with that

I don't have a problem with you being German at all. It's your glorious lack of intelligence. Fixing your errors and announcing a hack doesn't get you shit around here. If you want to survive on this board, you gotta use grammar that we can *READ*, and maybe actually build a name for yourself. If you aren't willing to do that, then you are probably going to get banned.

And seriously man. I'm not gonna argue over the net.
You just don't seem like you've been involved in ROM hacking long enough.

I'm refering more to your use of such phrases as "PLZ" and "i"
I'll let "awsome" slide.

Your past posts make me iffy.

Happy now .

Fixed all the errors

I would love to beta test your Metroid hack Dude Man. With the experience I gained while working on my hack, there should be no reason why I shouldn't be able to fix any palette issues you have... I think. Interestingly enough, I never encountered a stray door while making my hack, but I have an idea of what may be causing it and I may know how to fix.
I will PM you an email you can send your .ips through if you want.
