I have the original DS. Should I sell it to get the lite or keep it. I like the really bright and light screen of the DS lite. My old DS is getting faded. Where can I sell my DS to get the most money possible? (Gamestop, Ebay, etc.) I also want to get New Super Mario Bros. but when I saw a video of how you beat the last boss, it was too easy. You just basically jump over him.

Well, I got the DS Lite with New Super Mario Bros. It was a good choice, thanks!

You need a NoPass which is sort of like a mod chip in the form of a DS card; the most popular is Max Media Launcher, it's only $20 US. Then you need either a GBA flash cart or a CF/SD adapter. M3 and Supercard can play GBA ROMs; GBA Media Player is cheaper, but can only play homebrew (up to 4MB NDS and 256K GBA). If you want you can install FlashMe (a hacked DS firmware), then you don't need the NoPass anymore and can do whatever you want with it; it also protects you from having the firmware corrupted.

MKDS. Excellent. We must play soon.

HH: You need something extra for DS homebrew, no? I don't think you can do it with just a DS, but then again I never bothered to read up on it. Too much confusing terminology.

New Super Mario Bros = fun. Also, DS homebrew is pretty awesome (play movies and music and stick it in PSP fanboys' faces) and piss-easy to do. (Nintendo barely even cares; no modding involved, you can keep playing online, etc.)

I got MKDS and YI for GBA (since I never got a GBA either). I'm going to get more probably very soon, and I'm aiming for SM64DS, Warioware, maybe Animal Crossing... any suggestions?

I GOT IT HOORAY

I'M SO EXCITED

I'm amazed at how small it is, too. But my hands fit it fine.

I'll only get a Lite if my DS breaks.
I agree that the Lite is better than the original, but I don't want 2 things that are basically the same.

HOORAY I'm going to go get a DS Lite tomorrow. I never got a DS, and now I've waited for the Lite to come out and it's time to get it.

Well, as an owner of the original AND Lite, I can safely say that that Lite outclasses the original by alot.

Lighter X2 (Lighter Screen +Weight)

And you may not know this, but the original DS has washed-out colors. The DS Lite features a color-enhancer, so games look crisper and much, much more vividly beautiful.

If you don't have a DS and want one, get the Lite. If you have the original DS, don't get a Lite. It's as simple as that.

Screw it, I've done this too many times. Just think about it for awhile.

Eh, personally I'd rather keep my DS. Sure, it's got a dead pixel and the microphone is in an akward place, but it's my DS. I've grown attached to it.

I'd also like to mention I kept my GBA over the GBASP.

About the whole scratching thing... they don't actually scratch easier, the scratches are just easier to see... kinda dumb I know... but it bugs me when people say stuff like that, like white shoes get dirty easier, you know.

As for the topic at hand, I was waiting for the DS Lite to be released to get one, but I don't know for sure if I really want one now or not, none of the games are really yelling must have to me as we speak.

Hmm... that makes me sad, because the black Lite looks so cool. I really don't care if it gets scratched right now, but if I do want to sell it or something in the future it's not going to get me much. =\ The white is nice too, though.

I can confirm the Black scratch issue. I had a MP3 Player that was black coated, and it scratched really easily, and was quite noticable...I bought one of the same brand/model/type that was Red (I wanted more space), and it really didn't seem to scratch that much. At least it wasn't noticable...Im thinking its an issue of noticing. If the color underneath the Black is white, yea you are going to see it when it scratches. If its Red, and it scratches, then the white wont be as noticed. Im going to get a white one. Looks sleek. I might wait until my DS finnaly gets scratched enough. I have one little scratch on the right side of my touch screen, and it's really not noticable. My friend wants to buy my DS for about 60-70, so I might do that and get a Lite. Even though I have BIG hands, I should be alright. I had problems with the GBASP with size, but I managed...

Wasn't it 4? Also, is the mic covered when the lid is closed?

I hear that the black may scratch more easily, but apparently that's the same for all plasticy-shiny products that are black..

Can anybody with a fancy MP3 player confirm this? It would be my only hesitation about choosing black.
