Hm, on the subject of GBC emulators, what's a good emu for Windows that has a powerful debugger? I know of No$GMB and bgb. No$ has suddenly decided that it's both the free version and an illegal copy of the full version at the same time; when I start it, sometimes it says my registration is invalid, other times it runs but then complains later (tells me the free version can't use symbolic information or breakpoints in GBC mode, even when I'm not using symbolic information or GBC mode). bgb's interface just really really sucks, often deadlocking itself, which makes it pretty much unuseable. So I'm out of ideas... |

gnuboy remains to be one of the best GB/GBC emulators to date. xmess is alright, but it's not as good as some other emulators (even in the category of true-emulation). |

Yeah, I find VBA to be a tad flakey under Linux.
You may just be out of luck... though, have you tried xmess or gnuboy yet? |

Well for one: VisualBoyAdvance doesn't run very well on my computer. The Linux version is really demanding... I don't know why... >> I have an Athlon XP 1600+ and it still seems to run slow... Gngb doesn't work with my gamepad. KiGB works with my gamepad, but it can't seem to find my sound. And I checked there already... >> |

Well, the obvious question would be "where have you looked?" I did a search for "linux gbc emulators" with google, and the first result linked to VBA's site. Take a look at the "Downloads" section of the site and you'll see that there is indeed a version of it available for Linux. I just tried opening it on my computer (the Windows version, obviously), connected one of our XBOX 360 controllers to one of the USB ports in the back, and I can customize the keys quite easily
That'd probably be worth a look, as the only other two that showed up in the results were Gngb and KiGB. I don't know whether the former supports gamepads or not though, as the site doesn't say, so it'd be up to you to check Otherwise, you can always check here, but I figure there's a good chance you might have already Anyways, good luck |

Well I'm looking and I'm looking and I really can't find much. I want something that works with my gamepad, but the only one is KiGB and the sound doesn't work on it... >> Does anyone know of anything else? |
