I think once the few things were found a while back, it got relegated to being ignored. I haven't heard anything from it for a while, in other words; more recent things seem to be revolving around Mario 64 and F-Zero X.

Double Dash IS pretty fun. I enjoyed it while I had it (rental).

I really want to see MKDD's Rainbow road :x (as well as the game itself ..)

Speaking of, how is the MK64 hacking scene, if there even is one? :x

Then get cracking on MKDD's level format.

Seriously, I find things like that interesting. Do you have somewhere that says all that stuff?

(Peach: Wasn't it in the expansion pack? Makes it kinda hard for a lot of people to play it. Also, Banshee Boardwalk is relatively simple. I would've liked to see Yoshi Valley instead of the one from DD, though.)

Yeah, I missed that, and Wario Stadium, good stuff.

MK64 had some of the funniest tracks.

And MK64 with MKDD Rainbow-Road? I surely want!

Love them all, with the exception of MKDD since I've never played that. (Yes I'll get a Gamecube sometime soon. )

I've sworn I've played MKDS rainbow road in a dream (of course it wasn't exactly the same but very similar) not long after MKSC was still fresh. It was a dream of having a 3D portable Mario Kart..which at that time I had never imagine would have existed...but here we are with MKDS , kinda like deja vu huh.

Anyway, I have no beef with MK64 R/R, that was one of my favourite tracks. Oh, and loved the music of ALL the rainbow roads (again repeating the exception of MKDD for reasons stated prior).

While I think a Rainbow Cup would be unusual, I certainly wouldn't mind it...not one bit at all.

Nope, it wasnt in the expansion, only the remix of the Mario Kart 64 theme was.

How ironic.
MKDS Rainbow road is a Beta rainbow road from Mario Kart 64.

MK64's Rainbow Road was supposed to be an F-Zero course its a lot less long when you go that fast.

Mario Kart 64, that was fun. I miss Yoshi Valley (Why is Banshee Broadwalk in MKDS? Why!?)

The MK64 Rainbow Road could be more interesting with less wall and more speed, see F-Zero X.

Whenever I race on that track I always like to stick bananas and item bombs on the ramp. Often by lap 3 it's practically coated in them and you have to slalom through things. Even moreso when I use 5- or 10-lap cheats.

Don't forget about that shortcut/glitch in that Donkey Kong jungle level in MK64. Somehow you would have to drive up to a spot right before the cave's exit and then glitch through the floor and cross the finish line at the same time...Lakitu would pick you up and set you back on the track, but your lap meter would say you completed a lap. You could have like 10 second laps.

Oh, and Wario Stadium is one of my favorite tracks too. I remember laughing my ass off on that track more than any other. All the ups and downs and that cross-over part where if you fell, you lost huge time...I remember all my buddies and I timing it so that we always used the lightning power as someone was about to jump that. Good times.

Me and my brother used to play MK64 on the computer quite a while ago. I accidently sent him over that wall once.

Actually, in Wario Stadium, if you managed to hit both parts of the shortcut, you could get somewhere in the vicinity of 6-second lap times. Needless to say, that tops ALL of the others.

There's one in Mario Raceway as well, but that one is an ass to pull off.

Man, I still remember the "Jump over the wall" trick in the MK64 one... Took off about a quarter of the course, and put you in the lead instantly. Quite possibly the best shortcut ever.

I liked it too. But it was to easy to get a huge lead on that one. I´ve only played the MK64, MKDD and MKDS ones. I didn´t really like the DD one. Bananas = death, Mushroom = death and Star = death.

The MKDS one is my favorite.

Yes, but the MK64 Rainbow Road was just so empty, and that made it annoying.

I find it slightly annoying that it broke from the pattern. Rainbow Road is supposed to be, you know, HARD. Mean obstacles/turns, a lack of walls on large parts, etc. The 64 one was... none of the above

But at the time, there was no pattern - it was just SMK and MK64.

I also take slight issue when people based their opinion of the set of levels purely on that one. "Double Dash's Rainbow Road has very few walls? They messed up." Argh.

As for the cup idea... could be fun.
