On a little side note... if anybody cares, this dialogue says "I will show you something awesome if you keep your mouth shut", where "if you keep your mouth shut" also can mean "if you don't tell anyone".

You don't understand, you can play the game in English and this version fixes bugs that were in the US version.

WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU THINK GERMANY IS?!

You, my friend, win an internet!

By the way, if anyone's curious, this is what the European version offers over the US and Japanese releases:

Added:

Languages
I needn't say this but you can play the game in English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish. English seems to be identical to the US release, other languages take full advantage of the extra space provided by the tiny menu font.

Fixed:

Save Erasure Bug
If you used an item on someone, changed their position, and reentered the item menu the US and Japanese versions would crash, there was a possibility your saves would be erased when this happened. It doesn't happen anymore, no crash, no save erasure.

Tellah vs. Edward
In the US and Japanese versions this battle takes forever, the battle will not proceed if Tellah misses. In the European version it acts just like the original, misses advance the battle as well.

Long Range Weapons
51793Moeman informs us that long range weapons have been fixed.

P A U S E
In the US version the "PAUSE" text in battle had the letters spaced far apart, in the European version they are correctly pushed up against each other.

Changed:

Health & Safety Screen
The Health and Safety screen is colored in the European version.

Capital letters
The US version used a larger set of capital letters for character names in menus, this looked odd and made them stand out a lot more, the European version uses the same capital letters used for everything else.

LV
All instances of "Lv" in the US version have been changed to "LV" for the European version. Only the magic menu used "LV" in the US version.

Speculation:

Battle Speed
Battles seem to be moving much smoother, I'm using Active and battle speed 1, I haven't gotten an extra turn yet and the enemies seem to be taking their actions at the right time. I will wait until I am farther in the game to confirm this.

Berserk
As a result of the faster battles berserk seems to work properly again, Cecil got about the same, if not more, hits in then if I was inputting commands myself. Again, since this was early in the game, I'm not going to put this in the fixed category just yet.

Character Commands
Another result of the faster battles, some character commands (Jump, Power, Twin) that took way too long in the US and Japanese versions are faster in the European version.

Not much of a stripper scene. I'm actually rather surprised they bothered to censor that in the GBA one--in the SNES one, they just made the dancer always be in the swimmer clothes, so it's kinda weird that they made her always wear a dress in the GBA one.

I had no idea that game had a stripper scene on it.

And casually, I have a European FF4 Advance ROM lying around in here..._¬
