Now I can say the same thing for the second major test.

No only the actual driving remains.

Well done! Swis trains have a reputation of being the best in the world. Delays and cancellations are practically unheard of I believe.

UPDATE!

So, I'm still there, learning the basics of train-driving. And It's really interessting. Currently we are learning the parts of the engine, this motor, that valve, ect. And about two weeks ago, we were allowed to even drive by our own. It was quite fun. Travelling 300-500 meters by train, driving yourself. It's a real difference to the simulator, we usually sit at.

And all those visits to the depot to look at the parts in real... yeah. I like it.

Last saturday, we took a little test, to see where we are. And I scored 75%. Not too shaby.

Reasonably close? Fair enough, I'll start practicing right away.

It's more like: "Eine Apfeltasche dazu?" or "Dürfte es noch eine Mini-Cola sein?".

And it's sufficient enouth to be able to speak something reasonably close to German.

only CAN 11.80? That's 7 less I got. (CHF 18.54 ~= CAN 18.54).

But yeah, it'll surely be great.

But don't forget, here in switzerland, other expenses are also higher (a CHF 600.- room with bath and kitchenette is cheap, and that's without TV, Electricity or Water).

But yep, 30/h is much. I like it.

And there full time engineers fear for their salary to decrease ^^;;

Come over to Alberta, you get like $20/h Canadian just to stock shelves at a store....

or work at mcdonalds for about $11.50 canadian for a starting position..

its crazy here..although I wouldnt work at a fast food place for $15/h no matter what.

It should be noted that not only were you making more than me when you were at McDonald's, you were pulling in more than my ex and her cushy guv'mint job. But hey, if you're doing what you love, that's all that matters, right? (Getting $30/hour to do it's even better, but still.) Hopefully, I'll be able to get this one opening I'm looking at (probably shouldn't post this at work, but I'm the only one here so HA!)...

Wait, you´re saying that McD's payed you 15 USD an hour? And the new one is 30.

Daaamn. I´m glad SOMEONE here got their dreamjob.

Yes, and I was only crewmember there. But on the other hand, a Big Mac costs USD 5.-.

And this is my new workplace.

Thanks you all. And may you, Trapster, shall get your dream job.
