I've been growing my goatee out longer than where I've had it for the past year or so for the purposes of straightening it out. I'm extremely OCD about it (and symmetry, and and...) and sometimes it drives me crazy.
I shave my head, but still use my blowdryer and a comb for straightening the goatee. I was gonna do the fu-manchu thing like I started last time I let it all grow, but I just rimmed the stache back because I was tired of it getting into my mouth. I'd love to grow the goatee out really long again (because the longer it is the less it bothers me) but attractiveness is inversely proportional to beard length after a certain point. Shame I hate the way my cheeks look fat when I'm clean shaven. If only I still had hair... |

Shave! For the love of Thor...SHAVE
I'm very light haired so my facial hair is full, but looks patchy because individual hairs come in black as night. I'm normally clean shaven. |

I'd go with either clean shaven or goatee. |

If I removed my beard, most people would probably not even recognize me. It's a full beard, moustache and all. Why? Because shaving is boring, having a beard is easy. Besides, it does provide some great warmth during the winter months.
I guess I belong to the kind of guys who feel attatched to their beard, and sort of identify themselves with it. I do feel a certain sense of sadness every time I meet a man with a bigger beard than me. It doesn't happen too often, though. I own a book about the history of the beard, and there's a lot of fascinating things in there. Did you know that in newer times, democratically elected leaders in the west have almost exclusively been clean shaven, while dictators generally have a beard and/or moustache - it symbolizes them as "the great father of the nation"? Did you know that Adolf Hitler had a rather large moustache, but had to remove most of it to fit into a gas mask during World War One, and thus he got his signature moustache? Oh, and no disrespect to mr. Burnside, but I feel that Henrik Ibsen has him beat. |

My facial hair styles are all over the place. Sometimes Ill have a bear, although a very thin one. Sometimes a goatee. Sometimes a sweet stache, and some chin hair...this would be called a goatte IF it connected. Sometimes just scruffy.
I think I look alot better with facial hair. I dunno why, and shaving is such a pain. |

Wow, how did I miss this thread? XD
I have to shave every 2-3 days but when I shave, it's to get alllllll the facial hair off. I prefer the clean-shaven look and feel that having too much hair on my face makes me look, well... grubby. :\ |

stubbly to clean shaven, lucky for my girlfriend my hair isn't all that sharp in its stubbly phase. After a while it gets itchy and gives me acne.
Used to have a goatee, but apparently I have a "strong chin", and look better without. I miss the goatee pondering though =/. |

My facial hair is pretty patchy in most regions, with the exception of my sideburn and chin areas which come in fairly full. Usually I'm clean-shaven, but for the past week I've decided to grow a small goatee-ish thing. It's actually more of a square-shaped patch kinda below my chin. It's come in pretty good, and it's fun to stroke _¬ |

I got really tired of having to shave constantly in the army, so after I moved back home, I decided to just ignore it. I've had it styled up a tad at the barber a couple of times, since my beard tends to curl into stupid-looking shapes all the time, but other than that, I haven't really done anything to it. I'll probably cut it when I start start college, though, since I think it makes me look somewhat older and more serious that what I'd prefer to look like.
But I have to say, I really really hate being clean shaven. Pretty much the entire body is covered with tiny hairs, and if you shave away those at your chin, it feels really unnatural and uncomfortable, and it itches like crazy when anything, wind included, touches it. Before I went to the army, I just trimmed my facial hair with small scissors, which left just enough hair for it to look somewhat clean shaven, but not feel uncomfortable. Also, the combination of cuts and aftershave is not a good one. |

I have enough sores on my face (not pimples, mostly just agitated spots from me picking them too much) that shaving results in blood. I'll pass.
My [facial] hair grows way too fast, usually leaving me with full sideburn-to-chin hair in about a week or so (I guess, I rarely look at myself)... I really only prefer a goatee, mostly because I like to rub my chin a lot and it feels slightly better with it there (as opposed to stubblies that are just annoying).... I don't shave for the above reasons, but I do get it removed whenever I get my hair cut. Less work for me, and it doesn't end up with a bloody mess. |

I think I've posted this before, but I've been sporting this for about the last year. Shaving got old.
Uh, the hair under the bandana is curly and brown. |

I have a full-on beard and mustache. I get it all trimmed at the barbershop once in a while, but otherwise keep it. I'll shave the beard off once in a while, and it's back to its normal thickness in under a week. I'm not getting rid of my mustache, though.
Without my beard, I look like a teacher. With my beard, I look like the Amish. Oh well, I like it, that's all I currently care. XD |

General Burnside's facial hair = 10000% pwnage!
I hardly ever see faical hair grow like that. That explains those massive sideburns and his name to match. Kinda reminds me of Colonel Mustard from Clue. |

His name was General Burnside. Supposedly, the word "side burn" originates from his name. |
