False advertising. (For example, showing a screenshot of the game from a vantage point that you can never access in the game... like a third-person shot when the game's first-person.)

I don't think there's a term for that... Probably falls under artistic license.

(Xyger, that would probably be a mockup if it's a screenshot and not an artistic drawing, which would not be a screenshot.)

In the bad case, Penny Arcade came close to it, offering the word "Bullshot", which is when a screenshot in no way matches the real game that's being previewed.

Is there a term for when offical artwork in no way matchs its video game counter-part. Like the Tank artwork for Blaster Master 2. Or this.
