Not to be a n00b about that but I couldn't understand that. O and whatever mod around here usually closes topics and surely close this one since I already finished the job. |

Actually, I think the main issue with a design like that is the number of "HOW DO I USE THIS TOOL" posts that the mods will have to deal with if it's released. I know it's possible to deal with them, but would they really want to?
Console applications like that ARE rather easy to use, though... But some people are tragically stupid. |

He means the 9th row. They're palette entries 80-8F, meaning the 9th row and all columns.
EDIT: Actually, I think putting the mouse over it shows the palette entry number. It's the row that changes when you mess with the Mario/Luigi/Fire Mario/Fire Luigi setting. EDIT AGAIN: It's the 9th down, not the 8th. It's the one that lists the palette number as 8 on the right hand side. I wasn't sure if it counted from 0 or 1, but the first row is row 0. |

Well then, just copy all of the colours (80 to 8F) over to a level in your rom (one without a custom palette) and save RGBs to ROM. You'll have to copy the colours 1 by 1. To copy, left-click on the colour and press Return, and to paste, right-click. |

I already did copy
GFX and changed the tilemap myself. All is left to do is pallete. |

Now since i am doing things like this. I guess learning alittle thing or two with DOS isn't a half bad idea. |

Now that I think about it... My next program will be a console (DOS) program written in C++ with menues like this:
1) Edit blah 2) Enter blah editor 3) View blah data 4) Repoint blah 5) Exit 4_ Enter blah table to repoint: 1D_ $1D - Is this correct? 1) Yes 2) No 1_ Enter new address: F268_ $F268 - Is this correct? 1) Yes 2) No 1_ ZOMG ERROR n00b 1) Edit blah 2) Enter blah editor 3) View blah data 4) Repoint blah 5) Exit ...and no graphics whatsoever. |

Originally posted by Smallhacker I wonder that too, I mean, I saw some DOS program without any command line at all and when I was young our CPU was almost only working in DOS mode. I bet the problem is people lazyness to learn how the program work |

Why do people always assume that programs without GUIs are DOS programs? Blitz Basic (the programming language I'm using) doesn't come with a built in GUI, and I'm not wasting time making one just because people can't figure out how to enter file paths correctly (for instance, it's "C:/directory" or "C:\directory", not "C:directory"). Maybe I should make my next program command line based just to piss people off?
Edit: And by the way. What's wrong with DOS programs? |

then download it again to get these file back, and renember, everytime a program come with some obscure .dat or .dll ALWAY put them in the same folder than the program |

Okay now i got it to work. Thanks. |

*sigh* did you moved smwpte_desc.dat and smwpte_set.dat too when you moved smwpte.exe? |
Mozeki Posts: 56/160 |
Okay now after I put that there. there is an error after that that says decription file not found. |
C:/xkas bio.asm Posts: 885/1209 |
just put the editor in the same folder than your ROM and then directly enter the ROM name
example: mysmwhack.smc |
