Yeah, what about us dial-up users it would take us forever to load the pages and then the annoying sound would be cutting on and off while it loads...that would make me want to bust my computer up.

Subtle. Perhaps you shouldn't bother doing that, because the people it would be intended for are the ones who would misinterpret the post as being on their side.

I don't think anything remains to be said. The idea = no.

They're recruiting people through subliminal messages!

Normally, I would be against this idea, but I think Xkeeper may possibly be able to pull it off; most pages with music are generally made by people of Kei-like intelligence, but maybe if a smarter person did it it'd work out.

You could probally use flash for sounds on the site.

Although sound would bite, I would block whatever was causing it as fast as I could find it. _

Yeah, I hate those kinds of websites too, especially when the web page just plays it without your doing anything and there's no way to stop it. It especially sucks when there are other people present or you're in a library or something and you get this music playing, bothering other people. It's annoying, in other words.

Really, this idea sucks. the idea of music being integrated into webpages sucks on it's own, if you ask me.

Plus it'd kill the server's bandwidth. Unless you used like a 20K MIDI, which would most likely sound like crap. I have 234 songs in my playlist, I don't think I need the board to supply any.

Music 'integrated' into the board would mean....

slower, annoying, stupider...

Xkeeper shouldnt have to catter to people who are lazy and cannot open a music player.

Not only that, but you can add your own soundtrack to the board by just playing a song in your media player... See how annoying that gets after a while. There's a reason why 4chan only plays music on certain days, and even then only for a short time and as a prank.

Winamp? I'm talking abou- OH, I see. Messes with your songs on your mp3 players.

Like I said, I was iffy about this idea in the first place.

Maybe we should have background music for the forums and have an option for each individual to choose which songs they'd like or turn them off.

Just-a throwin' that one atcha....
