Then they added a bunch more to show how Cell can do more things at once. However, all the pulses were just moving in very small circles. Cell: Does nothing 8 times faster!

What I've been reading is not that it's bad, but that the Cell processor it uses doesn't use the traditional sort of processing, and needs to be adjusted to in a different way. But here's the article:

Does anyone here even have a PS3 and like it? I don't have any of the three, but the main things I can see that are against the PS3 might be high prices, too few good games, and a pervading distaste for Sony. There hasn't been much said about the actual system discussed here. I don't know much at all about the PS3 firsthand, except I thought the graphics were top-notch, and that it's the only one that has been mentioned in IEEE Spectrum for its capabilities.

I don't have a PS3, but I've played around with one.

The main problems, as you said, are the high price/few games/distaste for sony(which is easily understandable after their little stunts).

It isn't too bad, but, there's not many games that stand out yet. There's resistance, then......

Nothing that you couldn't be able to play just as well(if not better), with a 360, for at least $200 USD less.

As far as graphics go, gamespot did a graphics comparison between both systems. I personally don't believe the cell's "awesome power" will really be tapped by developers, when they haven't truly utilized Multi-core processors.

But it still has some stuff going for it, right?

MGS4, and um...

I choose the Wii cuz it has all these titles that we know and love comin up and it has a decent way of gameplay its more interactive the only thing ill have trouble with it is trying to keep my eye on the game and the controller.

The PS3 is waaaay to expensive for me plus my dads gettin it himself anyways

The Xbox 360 is pretty much a repeat of the PS3 they are similar in many ways plus I got a bud who just won the UK version of the Xbox 360 hehe...

Wii all the way. I don't find PS3 or 360 games very appealing, for some reason. Apparently GameFAQs isn't the only board with Nintendo bias...

Probably because both boards have players who grew up using Nintendo systems.

I already got one but, Wii. 360 is my second choice. PS3 is too expensive, and currently the games aren't put to full use. If I'm getting a PS3 then it's probably for MGS4.

I choose the Wii. The Xbox 360 never really appeals to me well, and the price tag (+ the games) for the PS3 is too much for me. Aside from all of that, the Wii is innovative, revolutionary, and there are some games I want. :3

PS3 is too much money (relatively speaking) that I can't justify spending when nothing on it looks good to me. I can't stand the boredom of Metal Gear Solid and am not a fan of Gran Turismo...so the wonders of the PS3 are lost on me.

My x360 on the other hand seems to only be about online gaming...however that will change next year with Bioshock, GTA4, Resident Evil 5....I do love my copy of Dead Rising though.

The Wii will have Metroid Prime 3, Smash Bros Brawl, Mario Galaxy and Wario Ware so I'm pretty sorted for entertainment over the coming year.

But knowing my stance on consoles I'll probably buy the PS3 if I have the money to waste and theres at least one game that looks good to me.

I have no idea what you are talking about. This is the 1st I've heard about a recall.

Of course, stuff like this is bound to pop up, like the Ps3 blowing up (and the Xbox, and the Xbox360...and so on).

Honestly, the only music players that I know of have the iPod and the Zune (and some cheap ones out there), so yea.

(And I thought I had a grudge against Microsoft! Well, not anymore obviously).

Same here, I normally never buy something 1st Gen, but I'd figure if I do have problems with it, at least I bought it at the place I work at.

And I only want it for music, so its perfect for me. I might end up putting TV shows on it, but that won't happen until I get the XB360.

There's far better music players out there than Zune and after reading up on it... it doesn't seem like the type of player for me. I mean, if all you want is to just play music on it and if the battery life's good, then that's fine.

I just wouldn't buy a brand new first-gen anything.

Why? I love listening to music and I'm tired of carrying all of my CDs with me, and I'd rather use my PsP for games...you know, the few that are actually good.

Besides, I have way too many games and systems atm to worry about getting a Wii, that, I can get later on, no rush for me. I'm not going to buy a system unless I know I'll have the time to spend with it. And with me working 50+ hours a week, playing FF12 and trying to get some time in on City of Heroes, I just don't have that said time. So, I got a Zune. Chris likes to listen to talk radio and I hate it, so I get to listen to what I want to, so the Zune is being used and if I get that XB360...even better.

Thanks, but I knew that already. Honestly, when I first played the game on a normal TV, I was fine with the game and didn't notice the whole text problem until someone at work pointed it out.

Besides, I was just too busy killing zombies to really care about the storyline.

Well, I've finally voted in this silly poll. And I voted for XB360. Why? Because its the console that I wanna get this year. Mainly for Dead Rising. I mean, come on, you get to put on ServBot's head and kill zombies. Plus, I've already gotten a year's worth of XBox Live for free and I should be getting Gears of War for free next week.

Sure, I want to get a Ps3 for Metal Gear and FF13, but those games are not even out yet, so I can wait. Plus, I really don't care for the Blu Ray player, I just wanna play the games.

Wii? Well, I actually had two chances to get a Wii. One I got a Zune instead and two, well, I just said no and that we could wait. The only games that I would like to play right now are Rayman and Trauma.
