Well... Roll Away probably counts more as a puzzle game, so Spyro 1, then Crash 1.

Spyro 1 had a better supercharge mechanic than the later games, and the flying bonus levels. None of that "go through the gate" crap.

Crash 1 because it had better music than the later games, and the pig-riding levels are so hilarious.

Spyro over Crash because there's more freedom to explore the world in Spyro (Skipping world 2 anyone? ), whereas Crash is much more linear.

I didn't like so much Tomb raider Series because of the handling of the camera. It gets messy when you stand next to a wall and the camera is behind you, it kinda gets crazy to avoid getting smashed between Lara and the wall. I also liked Legacy of Kain: Soul reaver. It was a mixed 3d platform with some RPG, but it's very funny to play

Castlevania Symphony of the Night is quite simply stunning. This one shines the light for platformers on the PSX. Being released into an entire castle to explore is too hard to resist. It renders a world with beauty and detail that other platformers can only envy. Many people think this is the natural progression from Super Metroid, and I think it really does deserve this comparison.

Tomb Raider, the original is simply one of the best 3d platformers in the world, still. It offered you an unparalleled degree of freedom, in a much more sophisticated 3d world than Mario 64. It didn't have the graphics, but the imagination and design made it way ahead of it's time.

I remember all those Crash Bandicoot games (I, II and III) where neat. Cortex was always in crash's way . I don't play it often because i kinda suck on them , but my sister is good at them. The hardest was the first version

That's nice to hear.

...But Point Blank is not a platform game. Think Mario or Castlevania or Mega Man for that. :\

Spyro 2 probably, as it's the closest thing the PSX had to Mario 64, plus everyone knows Dragons are cool. Failing that I have a fondness for Jumping Flash.

SOTN wasn't a platformer... except for like one area, the Clock Tower.
