Those are some REALLY nice crystals... Look pretty real.

Of course, the one that got sharpened twice looks a bit bad, but that's okay.

It looks cooler with the sharpening once. It makes it look... more real... or at least more appealing to the eyes for me. Sharpening twice... doesn't look as good.

Well, I'd like to try out making things with it though. Would be interesting to see what I could do...

I thought I'd add that special blur effect but if you don't want it... here's the raw rendering with no photoshop in it.

If it isn't crisp enough you can always use the 'Sharpen' tool.

Once...

And twice...

I've been getting into these abstracts lately and you can expect to see more freebie images. I'm considering larger images but I'd have to leave my computer alone for a few hours. It takes up a lot of RAM to render abstracts, very time-consuming. Another thing, I wonder if it would be alright to have a freebie image thread?

I like this.

The background is a bit blurry, but you could render a nice crisp 1280x1024 wallpaper with a lot of these crystals (just not too much or it will look way busy)

I dont find it crisp enough to use in a signature or banner or any whatnot. If the gradiant background where gone and it was completely white, and the edges of the ice was a little more crisp, THEN it would be really nive.

Took me a good 25 looooooong minutes to finally render this baby!

I'm so used to lightwave, I thought it would be better to get a grip on Cinema 4d. It's the first time I actually used the program. This was quite difficult to keep patience with. You may goof around with this image in a signature or background if you wish.
