Unfortunately enough, I have to agree with Black Lord. It'll be tough, yes, and it'll definitely hurt... but you can still continue your life. Just try to hang tight, no matter how bad things may seem, since they can still get better.

Danielle's definitely right... Even if you have problems with your parents, if you have a good friend you can rely on, that can make a world of difference.

It seems that divorce seems to be the thing these days, people shouldn't rush into marriage so much... people think that marrying someone within a month of meeting them is perfectly logical... honestly... people comon...

eh... excuse me, I'm offtopic...

As for family breaking up, sometimes it's for the best of the whole family, I really think my parents despise each other and should get a divorce sometimes when I here them... and I think it would be for the best too.

My parents got divorced when I was three also. Though I haven't gone through anything like that since then, I know what it's like to deal with divorced parents. Just keep in mind that it's not your fault, and if it helps you to talk to them about it, do so. Find someone you can confide in, because talking about it makes a world of difference. And even though your stepmom won't be in the same house with you anymore, you can still see her if you want to. It's not you getting the divorce from her. Just be strong and stay optimistic, and it will eventually pass.

Being your age when my parents divorced, I can relate. Things will be tough, I'm not going to lie to you. But you have to hang in there, as much as you want to change the situation, you can't. Try to make the best of things Comfort your stepmum if you care so much, and make sure you keep in contact.

Exactly. the thing to remember is that its a choice that they have come to, and perhaps, deep down, it is for the best. Your parents may have some unresolvable internal conflicts that if they were to stay together, it would just be downright unfair for you and the family. Though personally I beleive most relationships, expecially those that have gone so far as marriage, can be resolved with enough effort, sometimes it just becomes a lot easier and at times fairer for the family in the long run to 'call it quits'. And Shyguy, meh, just forget it. I get a little to in to shit sometimes. No hard feelings.

Just hang in there. It's their choice. Just remember that it is NOT your fault.

First of all, he didn't bark at you. Your original reply to him was somewhat rude right off the bat, and the poor kid is already feeling pretty bad. Any rudeness he might have remotely shown was entirely warrented, so just get of fhis back and don't go off on that "it really must be tough to live with blah blah". you might have had your own problems but they are different from his. So unless you can relate, don't go telling him how he should or should not act, or how he must feel/have to live with. The kid is 11 for god sakes, show a little compassion =|

Meh, true. He shouldn't have barked at me though.

It really must be tough to live with such intensity. I'm sorry for comparing.

that spacific enough for you?

My father died of alcohol withdrawal and my mom is addicted to narcotics. I believe you shouldn't act so harshly to people due to your problems.

Then you of all people should know not to be a dick to people who are going through tough times.

I can't say I can related you, Kanop, but I feel for you and I hope things get a little easier for you to cope with. I really can't give you more than that, and for that I'm truly sorry =| stay strong though.

He's 11.

That sucks I really don't know what to say. When you're older... it might make more sense even though you won't believe that right now. I'm sure they'll always remain in your life in some way. I really don't know what to say to make you feel better. I tried. Time heals all wounds.
