I just got metroid fusion and zero mission for £1 from my brother.
What a plonker. I'm not complaining though... |

Dominant Species for $5 found in a bargain bin, while it was also still being sold for the full $45 price in the same store in 1998. Odd! |

I once bought the original Gameboy and a few games (Mario and Tetris being two of them) for $5 at a Flea Market once.
Probably one of my greatest videogame moments ever. |

My best is a $3 Enter the Matrix... Otherwise, not much in the way of bargains. |

Emulation.
I'd either have to say my atari 2600 + box & a few games for $10, or a box of some great NES games [kirby's adventure, ironsword, few others] for free. |

SSBM at BlockBuster. Got it for 10 bucks about a year ago. When I brought a used copy to the counter, I had them open it and check it for scratches, and the thing was RUINED! So, I pulled out the ol' "Awww...I wanted this game sooooo badly too...", so the manager came out and pulled out a fresh new copy of it with a sticker that said "$40" and tore it off, and gave it to me for 10 bucks.
Man do I feel awsome. |

Secret of Evermore for 5 bucks when the video store back home was clearing out their SNES/Genesis crap.
Not quite an epic find, but it did keep me pretty occupied and it was never actually in when I DID try to rent it... |

Here, at least, the PS2 version of Marvel vs. Capcom isn't hard to find. The Dreamcast version, however, is very hard to find. |

I forgot to mention some more..
I got Fatal Frame used at EB a while ago for some standard used game price ($20ish, I guess). I'd heard good things about it, and the cashier said it was difficult to find, so I grabbed it. I haven't gotten around to playing it after all this time (I've been an extremely casual gamer for a while), but I'm glad to have it in our collection. We picked up Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (PS2) at some point, and I don't think we paid any extraordinary amount for it. I can't remember if this was before it became rare and expensive or if we just got a good deal, but either way, . |

I got Suikoden I for $20 in good condition from a website. The jewel case had a crappy hinge, but the manual was nearly perfect. I also got Evolution (NGPC) in English for $15 with a fairly nice cardboard box, near-mint manual and original ads. |

Before Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX) got re-released as a Greatest Hits title and when it was still rare, I bought a used copy in great condition off somebody on GameFAQs for $20 + shipping. Randy found a nearly mint condition used copy of Super Puzzle Fighter II (PSX) - another rare game that tends to be expensive - for a reasonable price at an Electronics Boutique a while back. I also found Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Greatest Hits used for $10. I knew the non-GH version was a bit more desirable because it had a couple of extra familiars, but they were redundant and you needed a cheat device to get to them, so I didn't really care. Now that that game is difficult to find in general, I'm glad I bought it when I saw it. |
