You're so cool clockworkz. Let's give him a badass point for being mundane!

No offense, but it's probably related to the fact that most didn't really care what it was based on. Often enough, people don't pay attention to holidays' origins, only to what they're doing on them.

As for what I did... Umm... Physics final? Seems like a good celebration to me.

I think you should ask yourself this question:

Why am I the only one who reminded how 5 de mayo started as a holiday in this thread?

One of the reasons why you don't believe me is because I don't have any bad grammar when I type in english and my behavior clearly shows some American attitude. That's because I learn english and also I live in a city that has a port of entry to the U.S. Despite all of that, I'm still Mexican, I still remember the history that has forged Mexico along the centuries.

I suggest that you believe me unless you want to be proven wrong by Colin, do you want that?

No, I beg to differ. Clearly if he talks Mexican he is a Mexican.

I only had one drink. Also went to the movies.

And just b/c you speak a language, doesn't mean you're of that orgin. Just wanted to point the obvious out.

I drank most of that bottle of Ice 101.
Then I went out to 2 parties.

I remember taking 10 beers with me from the first party to the second party. I <3 my shorts. 5 beers a pocket.

Don't remember coming home, but I passed out on my half-made bed. I had done laundry, and hadn't put on the sheets yet.

Also, I somehow got beer on my keyboard and it's kind of disgusting when I type.

Outside of my spanish class at school, I didn't do anything.

In spanish class, though, we had UNA FIESTA! Lots of food, soda, etc, and we made flowers out of tissue paper. Random, I think, but still pretty fun.

"It's the day in which the Mexican army defeated the "powerful" French army."

Well, at least you saw the humor in that or I would have pointed it out for you. French army... you BETTER have won.

Just another day over here. Yup. Day with an exam but still.

Eh. I don't really celebrate it. All I did was drive around doing stuff for school, then drive to San Juan to get lost and pick someone up at the airport.

Hoorah.

Yay, I get to celebrate it indoors by my lonesome! It's raining like hell down here and the festivities have been cancelled.

Ah well...

Felize Cinco de Mayo. Soy triste porque de lluvia. Mi dio...

Well I understood that and I'm Australian, so maybe it isn't good proof.

So you're in mexico and being Mexican, or in America [or other] being Mexican? Or you could be a white kid in Mexico, like TFG. *shrug*

There is nothing wrong with mayo.

Actually, in order to celebrate, I went to my job at Taco Bell and worked...
I did my part.

Aren't you guys forgetting how this holiday started?

5 de Mayo

So I'm gonna summarize this event in this sentence:

"It's the day in which the Mexican army defeated the "powerful" French army."

In case you didn't know, I'm Mexican.
