I don't think the only issue is that terrorists would break in and kill everyone (thus defeating their own purpose; who's the victor when everybody's dead?), but also that just having such a stockpile would be seen as an excuse for other countries to do the same. Who are we to say that nobody should be allowed chemical weapons if we have more than the rest of the world combined?

And I don't think 475 million is that much for such a project.

I think getting rid of enough poison to wipe out the entire earth is a good thing. Especially when the cost is only half a billion dollars.

In about 1942, there was a war against Europe and the U.S.

The U.S. Military parcelled The Great Salt Lake Desert of Utah into two large high-security Military bases.

There was Dugway, a Biological weapon range for testing chemical dispersals and since then, the thoudands of square miles of soil has been contaminated by either rusted artillery shells, or chemical residue.

The problems of Dugway are small when compared to those of Tooele...

The Tooele chemical stockpile base, just outside of the Metropolitan area and its millions of population, has been sitting for many years... Deep in the base, in some 280 giant, igloo-shaped warehouses, lay enough chemical weapon poison, to KILL EVERTHING on the whole PLANET.

Thanks to a congressional act, the United States has spent 475 MILLION dollars on a giant incinerator to get rid of these poisons. For over six years, the incinerator has been doing so... [yes, there was that much poison].

Do you think that this was smart? Look at our defecit. That incinerator costed a LOT of cash. Would you rather take the chances of terrorists finding this, and possibly help our debt? Or do you think this was a good decision?
