I remember when I played Perfect Dark for 10 hours straight in the Combat Simulator. Filled the place with bots set to the easiest difficulty...

1,077 kills, 5 deaths.

The only game I can actually sit and just get points is Tetris Attack. I'm still not bored of this game.

It's a shame they had to stop speed at level 99...

Hmmm, I remember playing Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, for like 9 hours straight, but really that's the most I've got. When it comes to video games, I can't play one for very long without getting bored.

I HATE columns though. Grr. I hate all puzzle games like that. I get sick of them so quick.

It REALLY sucks. Someone cry for me.
I take my meds at 9:00 PM, and with breakfast. They let me focus better and make me less hyperactive. Like you, however, the night ones force me to sleep... Though they don't tend to take major effect for 45 minutes to an hour...

The easiest game I know to keep going forever in is 'Yoshi'. That's what the game's called. The Gameboy variant is the easiest version to keep going forever in. Hell, I was 10 years old and I was playing that game forever...course the game concept really wasn't that hard to begin with.

I think the most obsessive in just PASSING...not to keep going...that I've over been over any specific item was either trying to pass SO DEEP or MAX. (period) in Stepmania on the keyboard for the first time on Heavy. I probably played period almost one hundred times (no bullshit) straight in one day before I finally beat it. I just decided I had to beat it and I BARELY C'd out of it.

But yea...I get that way a lot with games until I beat the living fsck out of it.

Ha ha ha. It's so true... It doesn't matter if you're programming, per se, though. Any work, really. Happens all the time to me. "Just gotta finish this screen... Nah, I have time to finish the level... As long as I'm working, might as well keep going... Wait, what? How did that take so long? I should stop right after I finish this..."

Ten million points in Columns is just a little more impressive than beating MMX6, I'd think.

I can get that way with some sports management games. Play like crazy a couple of days to get through a season then take a few days off.

Megaman X6. Unfortuneatly since I like games that last...

I was soooo hooked on it that I beat it in less than two hours straight... [It usually takes weeks...]

I am sooo glad those games have alternate courses tho....

I got to 10 million too. It was late at night, I was bored, but I couldn't sleep because it was way too hot in that room.

I think it stopped actually speeding up somewhere around level 45...

And my eyes hurt. TERRIBLY.

Seriously, it was an hour and a half game, and I gave the controller to my autistic brother after I got 10M, at which point he topped out within 10 seconds.

Have you guys ever played any game obsessively to the point where you didn't even want to play it anymore? And you couldn't stop until you got to some milestone? And as soon as you got that, you went for another close milestone? And as soon as you got that you went for...
