I'm not completely out of shape nor have been in good shape either. The only way I lose weight to stay in shape is by walking. I walk a couple miles just about every school day since my house is that far from the school. I don't exercise on the weekends but I should since I won't be in school for much longer. I don't try to run either because I will lose my breath pretty fast.

I'm not in the best shape I could be. I'm usually pretty lazy and I'm not fat. I'm going to work out and exercise over the summer as soon as my left arm heals. I try to lift weight and theres a muscle back behind my elbow that pops then hurts like hell.

I am about 6 ft tall and weigh 180 lbs. The one thing I've never had though was endurance. I always swim over the summer and love to be outside. Winter is my weight gaining time.

Bumping for great justice fishcakes.

I've never really been in great shape... even when I played soccer, I was the big tubby kid. At least I had some stamina, though. But as part of the whole losing-weight thing, I'm planning on taking up running, so that'll kill two birds with one bush.

I used to be in pretty good shape when I was really active (i.e. sports, getting outside, not on a messege board, etc...), however, I am not nearly as active as I was. I still try to do stuff, like ice skating, roller blading, lazer tag (long story), and general exercises before I go to bed and when I get up.

Keep in mind, I have never been ripped. Thank god, I wouldn't want that anyway. But I still have alot of that muscle and tone, just a little round around the edges.

I am sooooooo out of shape. I'm not chubby or anything (yet, anyways) but whenever I exert myself, I feel like my heart is going to explode inside of my chest.

I'm not in the worst shape I've ever been, but it's certainly not the best either.

I've lost a bunch of weight that I gained during an abusive relationship, but I'm not down to my very lean and athletic figure I used to have when I was swim training every other day....

I'm in decent shape.

I was in better shape during High School when I was forced to do physical activies.

I have a low body fat count. I also have a high metabolism. But I am also lazy as hell.

I also ran some miles in December. I did well but I think I could've done better. My legs are in great shape but everything else is mehish. In a week or so I plan on doing push ups and sit ups and when school is over I will commence weight lifting again. I may or may not run. While my legs are in shape, I have asthma which hinders my running ability. I need to work on that. It doesn't cripple me but it's there and it affects me a bit.

My body easily adapts to these things and if I focused and were motivated I could easily see a difference in my body within a month but I'm not. Which sucks.

I also am wary on sprinting. Before I would run with glee. Now I worry that I will run out of gas before I get anywhere. Don't get me wrong. I am quite fast as a sprinter but the lack of dedication has made it impossible for me to improve and reach my peak.

So today I went running for the first time since some time in December, and realized that currently I'm pretty out of shape. I mean, I was able to make most of the four mile run, though I had to walk for about half a mile of it, but it wasn't as quickly as I used to be able to do it in training, and I felt like I was going to die afterwards. I look forward to getting back in shape, since I feel great when I am...still need to get the discipline to go lifting, though.

So how do you get/stay in shape, in general? Running, swimming, lifting, hiking, biking, etc.?
