Dude, you should've demanded more. Otherwise, ouch.
Why the hell would your dad need to take his anger out on you? Kinda reminds me of my father except my dad would've done it even if I said no. |

I don't think it counts as self-defense if he sprays you on a verbal contract (legally binding sometimes) and then you go hunt him down later and spray him |

It may be legal to carry tear gas and/or mace, but I can assure you that it's illegal to use them as offensive, rather than defensive, weapons as you seem to be proposing |

I haven't been tear gassed, but I have experienced a very weak shot of pepper spray.
I used to work at a store that sells dog spray and bear spray. One of the cans of dog spray I was handling wasn't properly assembled, and it let go a tiny spray as I was unpacking the box. The atomizer was wrapped in plastic at this point, so the spray itself didn't come in my direction, and it was such a small spray that I didn't even notice at the time. The pepper oil simply got on my hands, and I touched my face. I'm just glad that I scratched my cheek, instead of rubbing my eye or something. I've got tough hands, so I didn't feel it there, but I remember thinking "smells like peppers..." and then my mouth, throat, and nose were burning and my eyes were watering. I wasn't incapacitated or anything, but like hell if I'd take an actual spray of the stuff for $50. Probably no less than $1000, and even then I'd have to think about it. |

Originally posted by SkydudeNo, it's 100% legal. In fact, it's recommended you carry tear gas/mace. Tell the cops what happened, chances are they'd laugh. |

Yeah, but my solution doesn't require you to purchase tear gas, or do anything illegal |

Well, some suggestions just don't go over very well.
And Gaz....that's why you make sure you get the money first. That, or make sure it's a guy who you could beat up later if he doesn't pay. |

I really wouldn't recommend it, guys. The burning is horrible and it doesn't go away. It feels like your entire face/eyes is(are) on fire. |

Evidently, I'm stupider for saying a suggestion to acmlm's. |

Chris, you rule, dude. Not even I would allow someone to tear gas me in the face form $50. Maybe for £50 (AKA Money I can actually USE), but not 50 bucks... Then again, I once allowed a guy to kick me in the balls for a tenner. And he never gave me it, he just ran off laughing. |

I wouldn't pay you... that would be the fun of it. As for what you said you'd do, I wouldn't, especially since I'm pretty well known among my school, and that would be a LOT of people... |

I remember daring this dumbass kid to smack himself in the underdeveloped squirreltreats with a full bottle o' coke.
I got me a 1.5 liter bottle and whacked myself, stopping mere millimeters away from my jewels, and pretended to wince a bit. He grabbed a full two liter bottle and WHAM!! Too bad we never agreed on payment |

What if your pants get hit by tear gas while they're in the oven? |

Your teargas is nothing. I had a Doberman eat my entire face. All of it. Only blood and torn flesh was left, save for my eyes (they got lucky). It all healed up, though, no scars, and I didn't even go to the hospital. Even stranger, the dog developed leukemia and died a horrible, painful death.
Sometimes I wonder if I cause bad fortune to all which hurts me. .....In which case, whoever paid me money to hurt me would probably be in for all sorts of nasty things XD But, seriously. Only things which attack me get me; I'm not paying for pain. That's just dumb, like you said.... unless... You put your pants in the oven, set them on fire, put them on, then get hit by teargas. *shot* |
