I think about the only way to do it would be to design your levels this way. I'd be quite amazed to see an ASM hack that could combine two levels just right, such that you can see the other but not reach it and not have it interfere with gameplay. |

I'm pretty sure this would require an almost complete rewrite of the game's code in ASM. Not that the idea is bad, it's pretty good, but it would probably take too much time and/or efforts to pull off efficiently. Not that I want to discourage or anything.
But then I could be wrong. |

I had an Idea but since I have a crappy computer and not a lot of time I thought if anyone is intereseted in taking it. I was thinking of just joining all the worlds like metroid. example the first level could have a section of the 3rd level in that world so you basically can see that section but not go there until you play the third level.
same level different paths or something like that. |
