I think it looks great, but the very first sprite in the sequence looks funny. Rush's back foot is at a straight horizontal pointing to the left.... seems very odd to me. Seems like it should be at least at a slight angle. You pointed out that the second sprite's back leg being too short but surprisingly that doesn't bother me b/c I thought that was due to perspective.

You know how in the end of Mega Man 4, Roll and Rush come out before Mega Man hops off the train? Well, Roll and Rush are both the same sprite. I experimented in redrawing the sprites to get rid of Roll and fill in the parts of Rush she obscures, keeping in mind what tiles are used in each frame of animation. Here are the results:

Top Row: The original sprites. The pallette may be slightly off.
2nd Row: Recolored Roll into a green silhouette that will be treated as negative space around Rush.
3rd Row: Added details while keeping true to Rush's original pixels.
Bottom Row: Got rid of Roll's silhouette so that Rush is the only one there.

I know that the back feet of the second sprite look too small. I had to work along the details that weren't a part of Roll there. Besides, this is probably the only time in the NES or GB games that Rush actually walked, so don't blame me.

So what do you think?
