That should work. You just need to tell your video card to also output on that line (which obviously isn't going to be called s-video). There is no need for an SCART adapter. There should just be something in the utility to change what ports currently output video. |

S Video? I was planning on using the yellow ones. I was wondering if I can just plug that end of the yellow cable into the yellow video outlet usually reserved for my ps2 or gamecube? Do I still need that SCART adapter? Or still need to change settings to what you said, NTO? I use an ATI utility for the settings on my sapphire radeon x800 pci express 128 mb, by the way. Hope that helps specify things? Not sure how to start outputing on s-video as neotransotaku suggested.(if I need to) |

You need to tell the operating system to start outputing on s-video. This is usually done through a video card configuration utility. One way to access it is usually through Display control panel, settings tab, advanced button. |

well I could just keep the audio hooked up from the computer to my speakers and just plug in the yellow head into the graphics card and then connect the yellow cable from there to the TV, right? (I don't think my TV supports S Video) |

The one to the far right, the S-Video cable. If your TV has a plug for it, it would probably be the best solution since it delivers better image quality than composite (the cable with yellow plugs). It might also just show up as b/w, and then you will have to use composite.
It's quite simple, actually. Just connect the cable from the back of your computer to your TV... but I guess you could figure that out. 
If you want sound too, you will have to buy (if you don't already have one) a minijack - phono cable. They look like this. If your television doesn't have any phono/composite/S-Video inlets, you will have to buy a SCART adapter like this. I don't know if that caused more confusion than... well... You might recognize the yellow (composite), white (left audio), and red (right audio) phono plugs. Like, if you have a Nintendo or another console. Cause, I mean, it's the same way it works. |

I was thinking of hooking my computer(equipped w/x800) up to my TV and have all these cables and such in the box. I don't know which is which or what to use. Help please?
Here's a picture of the stuff included Hopefully someone can help me identify these parts and tell me what to use and how I should use them? |
