I've been getting a bit more good British comedy lately, more Monty Python, from a CD my parents got me for Christmas. "The Final Rip Off" which is quite funny. Some bits from Holy Grail, and a lot from what I assume is Flying Circus.
Judging as well from the nice hardback book my parents got me as well the previous year, they seem to think I'm a bit more interested in the Pythons than I am...funny stuff, but they seem to think I'm obsessed |

Oh! I can't believe I forgot the Office! I think The Coupling and Ed vs. Spencer would be really popular to American audiences. The humor in the Coupling, I feel, albeit brilliant, is also simple to understand. |

Keeping Up Appearances IS irritating, but sometimes it's good for a laugh. Yes, Mrs Bucket (prounounced "Bucket" not "Bouquet" as she insists) is annoying, but that's part of the fun.
I forgot about things like Mr Bean and Blackadder too I used to love Mr Bean as a kid And as for Are You Being Served.... I vaguely remember watching that when I was a kid. Some of the humor I got as a kid, but a lot of it went sailing merrily over my head. |

I've seen relatively little British comedy, limited mostly to the standard fare of Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail and Life of Brian, some Mr. Bean, and a bit less common, some Blackadder, which from what little of it I saw was quite good. It's certainly quite...different...and a nice change of pace from the usual comedy stuff. |

We tend to get a fair bit of British Comedy on the ABC here; although I can't say I watch as much of it as I used to.
I used to love Red Dwarf when I was in High School, and out of High School, I used to enjoy Black Books. I watched Coupling a bit last year when it was on, very silly. And I watched Little Britain this year, although that's never really appealed to me that much. However, this reminds me, I need to find a clip from a very recent episode of The Chaser's War on Everything (Aussie Comedy). I enjoyed their take on British Sketch Comedy |

Mebbe I will and mebbe I won't *plays flute* Carrot cake, carrot cake have ye any nuts?
*ahem* Hmm... no Red Dwarf though, plus to say 'my hero' is a comedy is putting it loosely. |

When I first got to Rutgers, one the first things I noticed was the channels we get. One of which is BBC america... And I've been glued to the stuff on there. I've been most interested in:
-Monty Python's Flying Circus(of course) -Benny Hill -Little Britain -Creature Comforts -Ed vs. Spencer -The Coupling(look at my freakin' username for Pete's sake) -Father Ted -My Hero I'm sure Elmo will reply here soon enough... |
