I think there would be just be ONE downside to all this. There would be at least one evil maniac with ungodly powers every other year or so bent on taking over/destroying the world. So then in every part of the world Square-Enix would have to hold main hero try outs. It can only be the ages of 16-21. No one higher.
Then for the love interest, same age. etc...etc... Personally I'd rather have it if Suikoden games owned the world. Have your own castle and recruit people like crazy and have wars. |

If Squeenix owned the world, almost all of this would happen on a daily basis:

I can add to the list:
If FF7 ruled the world, you would level up and get more Health Points You would have Health Points, not vitality |

You would know how to do something ONLY when you had a certain article of clothing equipped. until you've worn it enough to master it.
this would lead way to interesting things such as "Underwear of *super-hard Math*" POCKET PROTECTOR OF JAVA and clogs of DDR. yes. clogs. |

If Square-Enix owned the world, learning to do anything would be a sudden process. First you don't know how to do it, then you do. |

Originally posted by Wurl Meh, FM4 sucked, if you ask me. =/ If a battle is going to take THAT long, there better be a damn good reason. The problem in that game is that there simply was NOT a damn good reason, a good reason, or even a tolerable reason, they just made the weapons weak and gave the wanzers a fuckton of HP. But maybe that's just my opinion and a lot of people will disagree with me, I dunno. |

Originally posted by Metal Knuckles Fact is, every single one applies to FFVII. Star Ocean was also made by Tri-Ace, not by Square-Enix. |

Too bad the Wanzers in Front Mission 4 sucked. As in they were easily destroyed. |

Originally posted by Metal Knuckles You've... never played Front Mission 3, have you? I'm assuming you haven't, which leads to the assumption that you don't know what MIDAS was. *SPOILERS* Spoiler tag doesn't work in some browsers in certain layouts... If I remember right - been a while since I played through that - MIDAS was as powerful as an atomic bomb, but left no radiation, which meant there'd be no environmental consequences preventing repeated use. The plane that dropped a MIDAS in the Phillipines couldn't even get away in time; the entire fleet it was dropped on, a huge chunk of the nearby (few miles away, by my estimate) city, and the plane itself were completely obliterated. I believe Square knows WMDs a little better than you give them credit for. |

Really, only two of thos applies directly to FF7. The silver haired death-on-two-legstype is notorious in more then just FF7, swords pwning photon torpedoes, ect.. Mind you, I still haven't played any recent Dragon Quest games, but they do have these qualities as well.
I can apply seven of those to Star Ocean: TTEoT, for example. =/ |

Just a little thing I whipped up in US History today. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but it seems placed appropriately enough. If it is, go ahead and move or delete it.
Contribute to the list if you can think of anything.=P IF SQUARE-ENIX OWNED THE WORLD... *There would be no such thing as "animals". Everything would be a "monster". *Everyone would have spikey hair, numerous belt buckles and zippers with no real purpose, and ginourmous shoes. *Swords = WMD's. *All world leaders would be evil, or at least more so then those already existing. *If someone has silver hair, they are a mass murderer. *Gravity? Phhsh! *You'd have at least one friend with a missing limb replaced by a weapon, one friend of a different species, and one friend who makes you want to rip said weapon off said limb stump and attack them with it every time they open their goddamn mouth! *You'd have a catchy theme song. *When someone or something dies, they turn red for a second and disappear with a weird "BSSSHHH!" noise. *Falling asleep would instantly cure all mortal wounds, fatigue, and STD's. |
