Tuxnes is alright. It's all command line stuff, though... so it's suggested that you use the GTuxnes frontend with it. Frankly I find it odd that EPSXE runs better than it... but whatever.

Why the ? I'd think a lack of apathy to be a good thing... did you, by any chance, mean sympathy?

Yeah, my bad. No sympathy, you cold-hearded Windoze users =/

I found FakeNES while waiting for a response. You guys have no apathy for non-Windoze users :(
It's good, albeit still crashy in areas (that I blame Allegro on!) But it runs and supports my controller. Woo. Thanks, I think :o

You could try FakeNES, as FreeDOS + suggested, but barring that, there's also a list of NES emulators that you might be able to make use of here. Looking through all of them, I'd have to recommend FCE Ultra, iNES, or fwNES. Unfortunately, I'm not running Linux, so unless someone that is happens to see this thread and can recommend one for you, you're going to have to download them and see which one works best for you

Good luck, and hopefully you'll be able to find something that works for you.

FakeNES is promising, otherwise install Wine and run the Win32 version of FCEU.

Okay, none of the NES emus for Linux seem to work, mainly because the code is so archaic that it won't compile correctly, or it wants obscure libraries that refuse to install because the packages don't contain all the nessesary files.

Please name me a GOOD NES emu for Linux, that will work with modern distros, plus sound, and either has a GUI or a frontend of some sort.
