Well, McAfee is pretty crappy. |

What ended up happening is that after running a full virus scan (using McAfee stinger), and it deleted a few inactive viruses sitting unopened in the eudora attachment folder, the computer was magically able to boot again. I have no clue why. It didn't remove any active virus infection. |

Yep! And also listen to your computer and tell us if it's clicking |

For that matter, write down all the numbers, and any filename it mentions. |

You know that "0xblahblah" you mentioned in the thread title?
That actually means something. Tell us what it REALLY says, and then you can look up the Microsoft Support article on it. It will tell you whether you are looking at a hardware or software problem, and what the nature of the exact problem is. There are lots of reasons why you might get a blue screen, can't really tell you much without that "0xblahblah" code |

Yeah, I get the blue screen of death on every bootup now. Any ideas? My harddrive works fine when I boot with Knoppix or BartPE, and I'm sure I don't have a virus. |
