It worked! Thanks, Xeruss! I didn't know it was unlocked, so that would've never occurred to me. Yeah, to fix it, just move one object around (even back to its original place) and save the level.
Kickass hack, by the way. |

I found with the iggy level, (I didn't try with the mario start screen) if you just open the level in LM (it's unlocked) and move one of the objects around, then back into place, then save, the level will work without the white screen glitch. |

It's not a bad dump. It's probably one (or more) of the following:
* A bug in ZSNES * A bug in Fu's ASM code * A bug/limit in the original SMW code that Fu forgot/missed. |

I'm sorry if I'm causing anyone any grief by bringing up this problem again, but I WOULD really like to complete the game on ZSNES. Could you perhaps PM me a copy of the hack itself, Forte.EXE? |

My hack is giving out problems even though I'm finished with it years ago...
*sigh* Well... I still have the orignal ROM. And if I make another patch of it and send it in, I'm afraid that somehow during the patching process it'll just fuck up on me without myself knowing it. Hmm.... Edit: And before anyone asks... DarkStryker is another name I go by, as is ForteZero.EXE... |

No, that version still seems to have the glitch. I guess I'll just try the SNES9x thing...
Ugh... it worked on SNES9x, but I hadn't realized how much I would hate it. It has pretty much none of the kickass features of ZSNES. I'm just gonna wait until we can find a surefire method of getting a good hack out of it. |

I believe that fading to white glitch was related to a buggy patch. If I remember correctly, it had something to do with an ASM hack that required overworld levels to be repointed after doing something. I believe it can be triggered with other things as well. The hosted version may be one of those buggy versions. |

I'm almost sure my version don't have this glitch: link |

It's one of the hacks in the Hack Database.
Well, I'd do that to solve the problem, but both A: I don't want to change my emulator, and B: Some people said the problem remained even when they switched to SNES9x. |

Super Mario Universe? |

You're using ZSNES, right? If yes, try SNES9x, and it will probably work.
From what I've know, this happens if you use M16-k7 in the hack. |

Did we ever find out what was making so many Super Mario Universe ROMs messed up? I couldn't find a solution on the topic on the old board, so I figured I should just make one here to see if any solutions were ever found for this.
YI1: Stops at "Mario start!" screen. Iggy's Lab: Mario's on white screen, just falls and dies. I was definitely not the only one having this problem, but I didn't see any new topics about it when I searched. |
