I'd like to use a program that can convert .lwo or .3dm into an FPS engine. I tried that years ago and it's not bad. I'm really good at modelling in Lightwave but all the good stuff unfortunately costs an arm and a leg.

Yes. Apparently, they are saved as DarkMatrices, or something, which I assume can be read by the game maker.

Can you play the maps you make?

It just seems so confusing because in the picture you could walk off the edge of the eart.....................................h?

From what I hear, it's pretty good, but somewhat limited. I'm into mapping, so I just got the terrain maker to play with.

And it's not free, but there is a demo.

Here's something I just whipped up:

Yoshi's Island in 3D!

It's Yoshi's Island!

I've never really gave the 3D maker a try. I found the 2D ones pretty difficult to use and just gave up my time on it. You can take your chance using it, if you'd like. I just don't think it will be that easy... =\

I'm against game makers in general.

When people are given a new tool, they stop trying as hard and just avoid doing things the tool can't do. Things they would've been willing to do beforehand.

Also: No 3D engine is complete and the only way you're going to get a good one is to either buy one from a game with similar requirements or make your own.

It looks good. Is it for free? Can you download it? Maybe I will try it out if its a good program. It might be a good start for because I am going to college to become a game designer and animation.
