In Carmen Sandiego Deluxe when they didn't give me enough evidence (and therefore no warrant for the criminal's arrest) and let the perp slip away. It wasn't my fault Bessie May Mucho got away scot free!

My first time through Silent Hill 1 was pretty much a big "what the hell?!" moment from start to end seeing how weird/surprising the game was.

I was playing Disgaea on my PS2 when i came to a boss. He used some sort of special move which had an movie for it. You could see meteorites coming from alot of angles and when it came down..... It was one millimeter in width and took about 20 damge (My hp was abot 2000) that was very "What the hell?"

Yeah, that wasn't so much "what the hell?" as "what the hell!".

Yeah, that was a pretty well-known bug.

Hm, in this one N64 Star Wars game, I put in some cheat code to play as an enemy ship. After about 10 minutes flying around in this ship the game went wacky. Basically it just stopped erasing old frames from the screen. I could still move and shoot, but like if I shot a laser, the image would stay there on the screen forever. Eventually it just froze.

And one time in Diddy Kong Racing, I hit someone with a homing missle just right and they got stuck against the wall. They just kept backing up, then driving into the wall again. I also knocked people into shortcuts, and they'd actually turn around and try to get out and take the normal way (which is fun in cases like the well in Greenwood Village, where you can't back out).

Oooh... probably my biggest game-related "WTF?" of all. The first time I got to the castle in Chrono Trigger. I'd named the main character Hyper as I tend to do. Needless to say I was a bit surprised when the chef offered me a Hyper Kabob! (Just a coincidence though.)

One time my cousin and I was playing Top Gear Rally, on the Coastline level. It has some hills and things to do stunts on, but occasionally I'd get stuck on the rail, so my cousin would hit me and knock me off of it. It was then that my car flew at 500 some MPH flipping and spinning out of control!

Here's what I mean:

Google Video

Small videos. And about the name, a WTF on that too. My cousin was laughing to hard, he had snotrocketed all over his T-Shirt. I thought it to be a fitting name.

Oh. WWF War Zone of r the PS.

I decided to play a basic, regular, one on one match against The Rock. (I was Stone Cold Steve Austin)

The Rock pinned me in 13 seconds.

I don't know how. I seriously don't know. Most of the 13 seconds was spent blinking.

My "What the fuck?" moment is when my PKMN Blue/Yellow/Crystal versions stopped saving.

A few nights ago while playing ACE 2 in one of the "training" missions (these missions basically put you in a one-on-one faceoff with one of your own mecha).

Opponent: God Gundam

first time i faced against him, i killed him in 3 seconds because i was lame.

Second time i faced him. I decided to play around a little bit and beat him normally. He had gotten me pretty weak, so i knew i was gonna lose.

i was at about 3000 life, and i hear BAKURETSU GOD FINGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

aand long story short, he killed me. So i try again. Same story. Except he does this at when i'm at 6k health (which is little below 2/3rds health in this game).

It kills me. Again.

On to this NHL game area, I remember playing NHL 94 for Super Nintendo. I had my guy get the puck, and the other team was about to hit me so I stood there with the puck. The opponent circled me over and over and didn't stop.

Another NHL 94 glitch, the puck was loose and the computer player started to skate towards it but was slowed down as he started shaking violently like he was standing up having a seizure. A little weird.

Someone mentioned NHL games, which reminded me of this:

In some old-school NHL game, either NHLPA '93 or NHL '94 for Super Nintendo, my brother, who was about 5 at the time, won a game 4-0. Nothing unusual, right?

He took ZERO shots on goal. Somehow, he PASSED it into the opposing goal 4 times, because he didn't know the difference between pass and shot as far as buttons were concerned.

And in NHL '95, by playing a no-goalie match, I somehow glitched the record for Most Save to 4096.

HAHA YES! I was just gonna say this! The final energy sphere is a real "oh shit" moment. But I've lived through it. That was more surprising.

Food Fight (Atari 7800):

I had a bunch of close calls during a later level. Which of course, after I beat the level, triggered "LET'S SEE THAT AGAIN! INSTANT REPLAY".

...Then the computer proceeds to DIE during the replay, says "ALMOST MADE IT", and gives me a free life to offset the one it just lost for me.

That REALLY freaked me out the first time I saw it...

1.)I was playing NHL 06 the other day. My defenseman shot it from the blue line and they got the rebound. Their defenseman had nowhere to go because my guys were right on him. He tried going between the goalie and the net, while in between there, he tried passing it in which he passed it right into his own net and got a goal for us.

2.)For any RPG game actually this can happen. I was playing Final Fantasy X and my people were very strong at the time. I went back a few areas to find an item that I didn't pick up earlier. Confident in my abilities, I didn't worry about the enemies that were around the area. A minute later, I ended up dying from them, bad luck or whatever, it sucks.

3.)I've had many Grand Theft Auto glitches but I choose to share this one. For Vice City, I had the Hunter, doing Brown Thunder missions and on the second level I had to kill 2 people on a motorcycle. I flew down towards them at full speed. I was playing for hours so I was getting bored so I decided to go and play chicken with the motorcycle vs. my Hunter. I hit the bike head on and the 2 people riding it went straight up into my blades and died.

4.)One more GTA glitch, another Vice City one. I stole a Barracks Ol' truck from the military and was driving around. I got my stars to 4 and the swat trucks were chasing me along with a lot of police cars. I was in the Washington Beach area by the police station. I was driving pretty fast and towards that station. I went onto that bridge at full speed and turns out its a spawn spot for the police cars and I hit it headon and that police car flew over the police station. I also found out this police car will appear about 90% of the time with 4 stars.

Spoiler:
Goofy gets "killed" by a rock only to come back to life after a few scenes. Damn cartoon physics.

I believe you could trigger that manually and do it yourself by entering the "speed up gameplay" code a couple of times. Doing so also allowed you to get a bulletproof, fireproof, explosionproof and damageproof Stretch.

Similarly in some Flash game I played, I just randomly hit the 'talk' button in the middle of nowhere, and I was talking to an invisible person who was actually at that same place in another room. Afterward I was suddenly teleported to that room. In the same game, you could buy negative amounts of items, and the shopkeeper would give you money.

I've noticed that in the NES Little Nemo game, Nemo is drawn with a sceptre strapped to his back.. a sceptre which isn't actually given to him until near the end of the game!
