The Simpsons have always been a lot of fun (Although the endless reruns are getting annoying), so I guess I'll go and see this movie. As long as it doesn't turn out like the Southpark movie (shudder).

I still enjoy Simpsons, so the movie COULD be good... Will have to wait and see, though.

Yea, they were just waiting for the right time and the right idea. I'm still a hardcore fan at heart, so I'm happy.

I think the fact that they've waited this long to even start making it, and that it doesn't come out for another year, shows that it won't be a half-assed attempt. I think it will be very good.

Yeah, I look forward to it. But damn it's too far from now... I guess they had to make a movie out of it eventually after so many years on the air... I so can't wait for it!

Its a rumor no more.

20th Century Fox surprised moviegoers on Friday as the studio included a short teaser for The Simpsons Movie with prints of the anticipated Ice Age: The Meltdown.

The 25-second clip opens with a giant superhero-sized letter "S" while an announcer declares, "Leaping his way onto the silver screen, the greatest hero in American history!" It then cuts to Homer Simpson sitting on his couch in his tighty whities. "I forgot what I was supposed to say," he says. The narrator continues, "'The Simpsons Movie,' coming to the screen, July 27, 2007." "Uh, oh," says Homer, "we better get started."

We're hearing that you'll be able to catch the teaser trailer on TV during this Sunday's episode titled "Million Dollar Abie".

Having debuted on Jan. 14, 1990, The Simpsons reigns as the longest-running animated series in history and the longest-running primetime series currently on television. It was created by Matt Groening and developed by James L. Brooks. The Simpsons started as a segment of Fox's The Tracey Ullman Show in 1987-88.

It's almost the longest running series, not just in animation, but altogether...

Kind of a late 17th birthday present for me

Either way, I am excited!

Yea, this isn't a joke. It was actually announced about a week ago on Cincescape, I just didn't have the chance to post it at the time.

This has been known for quite a while. So it really isn't an april fool's announcement that's not an april fools joke =P

Ah... hehe... this is funny.

This is one of those "April Fools" announcement that isn't actually an April Fools joke. Apparently...

Oh yeah.

This is just awesome.

Even though the quality of the Simpsons has dipped a bit, I am still looking forward to this.

Well, they've been promising the movie for quite some time, and a couple months ago made it more definite. This teaser trailer shows that they're finally doing something about it.

You know, if I heard this new yesterday, or tomorrow, I'd be happy. Oh well.
