And this is why I never want to work in tech support... or any job where people trying (and failing) to deal with technology can get in touch with me.

It was rather funny, in a sad sorta way. Although I think I would like to see what would've happened if they HAD gone to court about it...

The error page itself even says what to do.

Now, can you tell me how to remove "your software" that you acknowledge you provided free of charge? I consider this "hacking".

Now providing "free software" is considered "hacking" to Oklahoma? Hmmm... right...

It could have been resolved a lot quicker if the initial
correspondence with you provided the helpful information that was
transmitted in the last messages.

That was just a stupid comment to begin with. In the second e-mail he recieved, it told him EXACTLY what to do and he still didn't follow it.

...this was just a case of stupidity.

That's really honestly quite sad. I have to agree with one of Johnny's earlier messages...I feel sorry for that city.

Apache even have a huge notice page about that default page, and tell users to contact whoever responsible instead of Apache corperation. So whenever their webserver provider decides to upgrade or whatever some people wind up thinking that someone hakced thier site.

People are clueless when it comes to webservers/distros.

"Unless this software is removed I will file a complaint with the FBI."

Roflrofl.

Reminds me about people suing others for saying bad things about their products over the net. Forgetting about the fact that most, if not all, western countries have free speech. ~_~

Roffle, I saw this earlier. However, I would have been a bit more...judicious, shall we say, in how I reacted to this guy. Johnny Hughes should have laid that stuff out way the hell in the beginning.
