RLE is not a specific encryption method -- rather, it's a TYPE of encryption method. Meaning there are several different variants.

It's not even a system issue, it's a per-basis issue. The same game may use several different RLE encoding methods for different things (though that's unlikely).

So the short answer to your question is "no". There are many different forms of RLE and you'll come across different schemes in different games.

I was just wondering if RLE is the same for all systems? Like

85 CE would repeat CE 5 times
or 10 CE would repeat CE 16 times same for all systems?
