Eh, not surprising. I've mentioned before that Ru/Sa's random number generator is messed up.

Heh, that´s pretty weird. I hit VERY often with Guillotine (dunno if that was the correct spelling of it) on Pokémon Ruby a while ago. I could hit thrice in a row without failing.

It´s almost impossible to hit with it in Pokemon XD or Colosseum, though.

That's one thing you'll find in a lot of video games: Percentages, especially hit percentages, mean different things depending whether the character is human- or AI-controlled. In so many games (especially Pokémon games), a move with 90% accuracy will miss half the time and one with 50% will hit once in a blue moon, but the AI rarely misses with either of them.

My worst game moment was when was hardcore into Pokemon stadium 2, and when you had to use the pokemon they supplied, and you weren't allowed to use yours. You had to use they're crappy pokemon, and I ended up losing in the Master Ball Cup at the very last battle, when his pokemon were down to 1, and low HP, I missed using the stupid move Thunder (UGH!!) and he finshed me off with a low accuracy move. He can hit me with a low accurate move but I can't!

VERY FRUSTRATING!!

My worst gaming moment ever was when I played Luigi's Mansion.

Nothing went "wrong" with the game...

It just sucked that badly...

Accidentally formatting my USB thumb drive with my 100% Vice City PC game save on it while trying to actually format my primary HDD.

Ugh, yeah, breaking controllers sucks. It's hard to break Nintendo controllers, but it happens (I managed to kill a mockingWavebird and an N64 controller). Third-party controllers, on the other hand... I've had several of them just randomly break during gameplay. Didn't abuse them or anything, they'd just stop responding or the joystick would break. Careful what you buy!

I actually had one controller for N64... it had "The Rock" written on it. It had a bigger joystick radius than normal controllers, which let you run a bit faster in some games, but confused the hell out of others. Also, the wires would randomly short, temporarily freezing the game until you got up and poked at it.

Well, I managed to take care of most of my own game saves.

The games I borrowed from my cousin on the other hand...my somehow accidentally erasing the save on almost EVERY SINGLE ONE is the stuff legends are made of.

Ugh, I had to stop loaning people my games because they ALWAYS came back with the files erased.

Although Mario Land 2 had a tendency to just erase its saves every single time I got all 6 coins. Seriously, every time, and never at any other point in the game. It's like it was designed to do it.

Another one to add that happened today.

I was playing Soul Calibur III again. Playing the 6th mission on CotS mode and was fighting a level 6 enemy with a level 40 character. He wooped me. I got mad and was about to hit my controller against my leg (punishing me for punishing my controller...) when I looked at the analog stick and saw that it was out of socket. Went to tell my mom and dad about needing a new controller and my dad said he could fix it.

Went into my room after he was done with it and I was happy. It was working fine again.

Problem is that the R2 and the L2 buttons don't work anymore because of the was the controller is. Found this out when my sister wanted to play KH for the first time and couldn't change the camera angles. Spent about thirty minutes tring to make the flimsy detector inside the controller fit underneath the actual button. It is near impossible.

Now that I am getting Kingdom Hearts II tomorrow, I am saddened. I have a busted controller and might not get a new controller tomorrow...

...

Coming .001 seconds slower than a computer in MK Double Dash... effectively putting me in second for a ruined perfect game on All Cup Tour Mirror...

Yeah... I never lose save files... ever.

I remember that time when I was playing a GB Pokémon game on my GBA. There was a cave and I saved before entering that cave. My pokémons' levels were very low compared to the wild pokémons in the cave. It took me over an hour to get through that cave, and when I finally got out, I shouted "YAY!!!!". I was so happy............. two seconds later, my batteries were dead before I could save!

I aslo remember leaving my NES on without saving for my Dragon Warrior game. I was like level 30 or soething and I turned the save off wrong (Didn't hit reset.) All that was gone and... yea.

Ahhh yes... those debilitating game moments that make you question

"Why the hell do I still put up with this?"

So many moments to choose from... This one time, I was playing FFVII. I was on the surface with the sub and I dove under, for the huge materia or the shinra plane or something. The screen loads to the underwater scene just in time to see me go right into Emerald Weapon. Keep in mind, I am in no way prepared for this.

The battle starts and I of corse die. The worst part is this. I go to load my last save game, bummed out because I hadn't saved in a while. I became a little more than bummed when I came to realize that everyone of my save files were "corrupted and/or broken". Joy filled my heart as I lost everything and started from the begining.

I'm always really careful when it comes to saving games and such, what really sucked though, was that I was playing Shining Force II (I own a legit copy of the game) and I saved and turned it off. I was at the last battle, a practically perfect team... and the memory battery in the game died...

One of the many times my Pokémon Red/Blue saves got erased. I was messing with that Missingno glitch and found a trainer in the wild... he used some glitch attack that never seemed to hit, so I kept fighting until it actually hit. It made an explosion effect, then the game crashed. The next piece of text displayed (after resetting) was something like "Save data has been destroyed". NOOOOOOOO! (I had a legit Mew even. )

I still remember when my Super Mario World game first started showing signs of age. I was some 6 years old and sitting in my room playing on Donut Plains 1, the part with the big flying lesson area, when my game locked up. I sat there wondering "hmm, what could possibly be happening" when suddenly the everything glitched. The entire screen was scrambled and the sound of a block breaking played. I freaked out, turned off the game and ran to my parents. It's been imprinted on my memory forever

Heh, Super Mario Bros did similar to me once. Freaked me right out.

Playing FF8 when it first came out, got to like the second disc or so and stopped playing. The year after I picked it up again and during this time, my controller ports would constantly tell me no controllers are plugged in, making me plug and replug them over and over. So I got far, to like the end of the 3rd disc, when one day, while loading the game, it stopped midway and said there was an error... I checked the save on the ps1 memory card system thingie and there was a big x where the ff8 file should be, saying that the data was corrupt. I was never able to load it again. It was the curse that began my streak of not completing games.

Played SimCity on SNES for over a year. My population was about 800,000 people, it had so many cool bonus buildings (2 Mario Monuments, several windmills, 12 + Power plants, Expos etc...) that I worked hard to earn. My friend played it and saved over my city!!! Being around 8 years old at the time, I was so freaking sad.
This is a long thread. Click here to view it.
