IGN -> 8.2 out of 10.
Gamespy -> 4.5 out of 5.

It just keeps getting better.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I'm going to wait a bit though, I'm not really trusting right now and want to wait for more reviews.

This game looks outstanding.

Suikoden I and II both had, by far the best character development in any RPG I've ever played. I wanted to shed tears after beating II several times.

Then III came along. It had a great storyline, but by far the worst battle system I have ever seen in my life. Camera angles switched nearly 50x in a single battle, and the way characters were "linked" among eachother destroyed a lot of freedom, and just ruined the gameplay. That and the battles seem to take literaly 10-15 minutes to beat.

IV ... ugh, was I playing Wind Waker here? Spent so much time in the boat, it got old. That and everything else about this game just ... felt weird. It wasn't that great.

But after reading reviews like this and seeing a bunch of news and trailers on V, I'm extremely excited, and am in the belief that the series could very well be back on it's good roots.

It comes out tommorow, and I'm definitely getting it.
